I rarely write reviews with this intensity, but our experience at The Copper Rocket was a test of patience and truly a culinary debacle. From the moment we stepped in, the establishment seemed chaotic and lacking in basic customer service. There was no warm greeting, no staff to guide us to a table, leaving us to fend for ourselves.
After twiddling our thumbs for 20 long minutes, we took the initiative to approach a waitress and fetch our own menus. A restaurant's first impression is paramount, and at this point, we should've recognized the red flags and departed. But in the spirit of giving a second chance, we decided to order.
My appetite was modest, so I opted for the deep-fried Oreos. Others in our group sought heartier meals like the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Club Wrap, and a Club Sandwich. Josie, our server, was the one silver lining amidst this chaos. She was visibly overwhelmed, having to handle the entire floor alone and juggle drink-making due to an uncooperative bartender. Her sincere apologies resonated, but it's the management and kitchen that need a serious re-evaluation.
The inconsistency in delivering our orders was frustrating. First came the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, then a prolonged wait, and an eventual revelation that they'd run out of turkey for the other dishes! To add insult to injury, after what felt like an eternity, they admitted they couldn’t even provide the deep-fried Oreos due to a lack of batter.
To the management of The Copper Rocket: your inefficiency is costing you more than just a negative review. If you aren't able to ensure basic service standards, perhaps it's best to reconsider your place in the restaurant industry. As a reviewer, I evaluate based on met expectations. I've praised establishments that deliver on their promises, regardless of their stature. The Copper Rocket, despite its spotlight on "Bar Rescue", clearly needs more than a mere rescue. Jon Taffer would be livid with such mismanagement.
To potential patrons, I'd advise you to reconsider your choice. Your time, money, and appetite deserve better. I hope The Copper Rocket reflects on this feedback and initiates a radical change for the betterment of its...
Read more!!! One of the best & local hang out spots has officially opened their doors once again to give the thirsty community a well known watering hole we can all brag about AND love for once again. Very thankful for the owners of Foxtail coffee for taking on/reviving this local staple that had endured one too many let downs in the past due to poor management/ a lack of love. Love the food and the wide variety of beer/wine. The only thing I do have to say is that some of the bartenders are very rude. I remember having an altercation with the young lady with blonde hair a few weeks ago. She was very annoyed that we were sitting at the bar at 1:45 finishing our beers: the lights came up, and my friend jokingly said “oh I wonder what that means!” And she came up to him and said “what do you do? Honestly, what do you do for a living?” He answered her question saying that he is a server (the entire group of us that was there that night are all bartenders and servers) and she snarlingly said “well then YOU should understand what it means when it’s lights up bud.” First of all, we cashed out for all of our beers AND tipped them well over 20%. She made an entire group of laughing patrons turn dead silent and we all left immediately while feeling very awkward. Employees there need to realize that there is no room to be rude to customers. It’s funny how she told us it’s last call and shortly after that tell us we have to leave and then turn around to her group of friends/employees off the clock and ask them if they want another beer or glass of wine. A little hypocritical. If you don’t like working late, don’t work at a place where closing time is at 2AM. I hate it when people linger at my job, but I’m not going to give them attitude because they are paying my damn bills. Never had this problem before with the older staff. I’m sure that soon they will get rid of the bad eggs because nobody I know as well as myself will be coming back to give them business if I’m going to be treated so...
Read moreMy intent is to WRITE THE WORST REVIEW that I am capable of writing. The staff at this place displayed the most inhumane, egregious, and down right cruel behavior to my father - that it amounts to ELDER ABUSE, and quite frankly we are considering legal action. I am writing this review on behalf of my 80 yo father. My parents went to Copper Rocket for lunch 2 Saturdays ago around 11am in August 2023. My father recently had eye surgery for cataracts. When he entered Copper Rocket from the daylight to the very dark restaurant, he couldn't see the stage, and he had a terrible fall and hit his head on a table. Instead of helping him (Or even doing nothing), the staff aggressively tried to throw him out of the place!! He was injured -my father, a veteran of 80 years old, and the kindest man you will ever meet. They pushed him out the door - furthering his injuries, when all he wanted was to get lunch with my frail mother in her 70s. My father was so dazed by the head injury, that he only later realized he should have called the police to file for assault. It made me so sad to hear this story. What has this world come to? Why can't we help an old man up after he has fallen? I do believe in forgiveness, but my family will NEVER return to...
