Letâs talk about the foodâabsolutely amazing! I started my meal with the fresh young coconut water. It was a refreshing delight, served in a beautifully presented coconut with chunks of fresh coconut inside. The sweetness of the coconut water is a perfect thirst quencher, and the addition of fresh coconut adds a delightful texture to the experience.
Next up were the veggie spring rolls, which were nothing short of spectacular. Each roll was fresh and bursting with flavor, accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce that perfectly balanced the dish. The crunch of the vegetables paired with the soft rice paper made for an irresistible appetizer.
For my main course, I indulged in the fried tofu pho, which was a revelation! The broth was rich and aromatic, filled with fresh herbs and spices that transported me straight to Vietnam. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, soaking up the flavorful broth beautifully. I couldnât get enough!
I also tried the fried tofu pad Thai, and it was equally impressive. The dish was artfully plated, showcasing vibrant colors and textures. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the balance of flavorsâfrom the tangy tamarind to the crunch of peanutsâwas spot on. It was a delightful twist on a classic dish that left me craving more.
A special shoutout to Mike, our server, who truly elevated our dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly attentive without being intrusive. He took the time to explain the menu and offered great insights into the dishes, making our choices even easier. His warm personality and genuine passion for the food made our meal unforgettable.
In conclusion, City Pho and Grill is a gem in Maitland. From the authentic, mouth-watering dishes to the fantastic service and ambiance, every aspect of the experience was top-notch.    Read moreMy dad brought me some Pho after hearing I was really sick this past Thursday. It was bad yâall! I could not eat anything! My dad came by later that evening with 2 beef and 1 chicken pho. I had a small bowl at first and it was like a warm hug. The veggies were fresh and the bean sprouts were crunchy. The broth was some of THE best I have ever tasted. The spices and seasonings were blended immaculately! The chicken pho was the first one I tried. The next day I tried the beef and it was AMAZING! Finishing up the meals my dad brought me had me on the mend and I can honestly say made me feel betterâŚâŚ that along with fluids and rest. Last night my dad went back to get me some more but this time wanted me to try the seafood pho. I donât know how that seafood pho would pack a punch like that! It was OUTSTANDING! He also brought some tea that tasted like ginger based. Many times opt to sweeten my tea with honey but it was so good I drank it straight! My dad has been going to them for quite some time and I had no idea. I thought it was pretty cool that my dad come over bringing me pho when I was sick. I thought he was gonna bring over some regular chicken noodle soupâŚâŚ. Nope!!!! He brought me food to nourish my body and get her baby girl back up and running. For that I give him the cool dad award and City Pho & Grill my gratitude for making AMAZING, FRESH & FLOVOR PACKED FOOD.
That food got LOVE...
Read moreWent with two friends and was appalled by the terrible service. Everything went OK until we got our appetizers, after that we were literally forgotten about for about 25 minutes. We didn't get refills, no one came to take our plates or our orders and we saw people who came after us getting both getting their appetizers and their meals while we were still waiting.
I had to stand up and walk to the only staff member that was still there, handling all the tables, because everyone either disappeared or decided to take their lunch our before serving us. I told him no one had come to our table for a long while and that we were more than ready to order. When we did, he told us our food could take a bit longer because they had a lot of stir fry orders at the time. We just thought it was funny that was an issue because we could have ordered almost half an hour before had a staff member bothered to check on us.
After we were done eating we waited for about fifteen minutes to pay, restaurant completely empty except for our table, and no one ever came to pick up our cards so again we had to stand up and go to the same only staff member that seemed to be out there to pay.
I'd say the complete lack of service was the biggest disappointment of this experience, but the cloyingly sweet Pad Thai takes...
