I was really excited to try this place after driving by a few times and thinking how cute it looked. Unfortunately the woman working the counter really seemed to not want customers there. I actually gave it 3 chances in case she was having a bad day, but I guess they were all bad days. The first day she was quite nice and said she was surprised at how friendly I was (maybe she doesn't get a lot of friendly customers?), so the second day I brought my husband in to show him the place, and her first sentence was "you'll have to wait a while" instead of hi or good morning. We were the only people there and were completely fine with waiting, but she made a point to let us know that she was super busy and seemed annoyed to have to take our order. She also made a strange remark that we were "too young to be married" (we're 31), which may have been some sort of weird joke but it came off very unsettling to both me and my husband. I went one more time on a different day, and again I was the only customer in line, but she said she couldn't make a drink for me because she had 11 pounds of coffee bags to grind first. I instinctively said that was okay and waited, but after a moment I realized she gave no indication of how long this would take. I asked if it would be 5, 10, 15 minutes? and she just said yeah. So I took the hint that she was trying to get me to leave, and went to go find coffee somewhere else....
Read moreI am a Malden resident who loves supporting the local cafes and restaurants in Malden. My husband and I woke up early Friday morning to visit this cafe with a guest of ours. My husband asked for combo 1 as per the menu and the staff at the cafe asked him what exactly is that. We were surprised that the staff didn’t quite know the menu and asked us to be clear with what we wanted. The staff didn’t seem to have a Good Friday morning. At the end, the staff thanked my husband for being able to speak English and told him how she has hard time communicating with customers who didn’t speak much English. We were very much surprised when she thanked him for being able to speak English 🙄. Didn’t expect to hear such words in a diverse town like Malden. We were appalled with the experience. It was my 1st visit and my husband’s 2nd. From what my husband said, the staff’s attitude was similar at his first visit as well. I would have never visited if my husband had shared his first experience with me. It would be nice if the staff is welcoming and nice to all customers irrespective of the color of their skin or whether they can speak...
Read moreI absolutely love this place! I have loved it since I walked in day one and met the amazing woman running it! After over hearing a not positive experience from a first time picky customer recently, I decided to post my love for the amazing woman who runs it and makes this place exceptional!
I discovered this shop due to the great reputation it has among locals. It did not disappoint! The woman who runs it works hard to brew coffee the perfect way and it shows! They brew coffee in specific flavors and since I drink mine black .. this is a hidden gem! They change flavors daily and weekly and she hustles to keep everything perfect! I am happy to see so many others I work with flowing into this spot!
The prices absolutely blow away other coffee shops! This is the most Perfect coffee I personally have ever had and I was a huge fan of another local spot untill I stumbled upon this!
Any true local will tell you we judge places by the service and coffee… there is not enough stars to rate this place I would give it 100...
