Irv's Burgers — Restaurant in Malibu

Like Miss MacKenna wrote, your cashier is a jerk and he's pretty weird. When this is the opener and someone is handling your food, it's not a good sign. For three adults and toddler, we paid $71 before gratuity for one of those Roadside Burgers, a burger patty for the kid, two BLTs, two sides of fries and two Oreo shakes. Then, we got to sit on the filthy tables adjacent to the buildings. The tables were disgusting and the seats - cushions and the chairs - were absolutely gross and with bird crap on the cushions. And, funny, but one of the workers in an "Irv's Burgers" shirt was just out there before we sat down and didn't do a thing to clean the tables or seating. If this wasn't bad enough, I wound up getting sick afterward. Maybe it was something that didn't sit right. Like another commenter mentioned, the fries are loaded with salt to the point where they are inedible. As a fellow business owner, I can commiserate with finding good help. Everyone has a gripe. But, the place is filthy, the food sucks and you're greeted with this bizarre attitude, only to pay a large sum of money. Unless that was you, Irv, at the cashbox, good luck to you. I think you have some management...

We just ordered food for delivery and literally NOTHING was right. My husband and I are furious. If you can’t even read a very simple list of ingredients you’re a massive failure. The most obvious was we had items with chili - including just a bowl of chili - and not one drop of chili was in the bag anywhere. We called and talked to Vicki who said they ‘tried to contact us’ to let us know there was no Chili but ‘couldn’t reach us’…. We have our phones right here. No missed calls or texts. Who still sends out an order based around chili with NO chili, that you pay extra for, and think that’s ok??? And besides that, everything else was still wrong! They put lettuce on my ‘chili’ burger (picture below), and no mayo or pickles on my husbands burgers that was supposed to have EXTRA pickles. No onions in the ‘chili’ cheese onion fries we ordered. Everything about this brain dead encounter has totally turned us off. We are out tip money for the delivery so Vicki offered a free meal instead of monetary compensation which is too bad because at the moment we are too upset to consider going back...

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS This is one of those places where you gotta love food more than the glam. This is what Malibu has been, is and will always be, a place to surf, sun and a glam free hardy FUN & FOOD. It's hidden in the new shopping part of Malibu, but a celebrity and local favorite. Hidden behind gated communities are the real Malibu old money folks and they come down to just have a hot dog 🌭 or a good old fashioned burger 🍔 and a milshake. Get grilled onions on your dog's and burgers. You gotta try their tater tots, golden and super crisp, not oily at all.

The staff are awesome. Carlos, Bertin & Asteria are very friendly and attentive even though they are slammed with orders. It's like being in Hawaii & Malibu in the good old days before the fake...
