Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Malibu

There’s something about Malibu mornings that just hit different, and grabbing my caramel macchiato at this Starbucks felt like the perfect way to start the day. The staff here deserves real credit — super friendly, quick with the orders, and even on a busy morning rush they kept the vibe calm and easy. Service alone is a 5.

The coffee? Exactly what I wanted. Hot, strong, and balanced with that caramel sweetness I come back for every time. I’ve been to plenty of Starbucks all over California, but this one keeps a special spot on my list whenever I’m in Malibu.

The interior is clean and modern with plenty of seating inside, and the outside patio is a nice bonus if you want to sit under the umbrellas and breathe in the ocean air just a few minutes away. The only thing that threw me off — there’s no restroom inside. Honestly, I didn’t expect that in a Malibu Starbucks. Not a dealbreaker, but surprising for sure.

Still, it’s all about the coffee and the service, and they nailed both. For me, this place is locked at ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

This place deals with a lot. There are homeless running around, rich people, car nuts and everything in between in Malibu.

The area has gone under a bit of a war with the local car community. They meet here every Sunday and take over the parking lot.

This doesn't affect the Starbucks in a negative way. They are good at getting people in and out. Andy is a barista genius. He anticipates the crowds and is ready to go when it gets busy.

I order espresso and they always have it ready when I pay. Then I step outside and tell some homeless guy I don't have cash. Thats the only bummer is that the homeless are just there. Then there's the regular traffic from the surrounding areas.

This Starbucks is holding strong, even with 4 competing coffee shops nearby! Malibu loves its coffee!!

If you go here on a weekend you might see Jay Leno or Jerry Seinfeld. Maybe. ...

I walked in with an order for 27 drinks, Don and his 2 colleagues made this order SO SWIFT!!! No mistakes and even added each name to the cups. They also made sure to get the “single cup customers” behind us in line, their orders started so they wouldn’t have to wait for all of ours (which was so thoughtful!!)
