We visited Alas de Frida for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We walked right in and were seated immediately. We were the only people here for until another couple came in midway through the meal. The decor is trendy with cheerful music playing. It is guaranteed to put you in a good mood. The restaurant was clean and they provided extra napkins with the meal without being prompted. The chips and salsa provided before the meal were good. They tasted like typical restaurant chips and salsa. Authentic, crunchy and we were offered a refill, again without asking, which we declined. We had tacos and the birria noodle bowl. Both portions were hearty and very delicious. We took home leftovers. The noodle soup was rich and savory. The meat was so tender and flavorful. Overall, we enjoyed the general ambiance and the delicious offerings at this restaurant. The menu is extensive and if our meals were and estimation, you can't go wrong with your choice. Everything is bound to be delicious.

What an incredible gem in downtown Manchester! Las Alas de Frida offers an inviting and vibrant atmosphere that immediately transports you straight to Mexico. From the colorful decor to the warm lighting, everything about the ambiance feels authentic and welcoming. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was bursting with traditional Mexican flavors, fresh, bold, and beautifully presented. It's clear that a lot of love and authenticity goes into every plate. A special shoutout to Daniel, our server, who was working solo during a busy time but never missed a beat. He managed multiple tables with professionalism, efficiency, and a genuinely friendly attitude. It’s rare to see someone handle pressure with such grace – he truly enhanced our dining experience. If you’re in downtown Manchester and craving real Mexican food served with heart, Las Alas de Frida is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

The best Mexican food in not only Manchester, but all of southern New Hampshire by LEAPS and BOUNDS!!!( I have lived in NH for 32 years and I have tried them all) We originally ordered their food from DoorDash last week and the take-out was so phenomenal that we just had to eat in house, we were not disappointed!! They give you bottomless chips & salsa, we also ordered mini chipotle chicken chimichangas for an appetizer, they were excellent. For my entree' I had Birria tacos(Tacos De Birria), the birria consume was to die for, it also came with a side of salsa verde. My husband ordered traditional chicken enchiladas, which he loved. My son ordered two California burritos, one with grilled chicken, the other with grilled steak. He said they were absolutely delicious, which I know is true because he ate every last bite of both and they were HUGE. I have just two small complaints: Most dishes do not come with beans or rice, you have to order separate and pay for them, which I find very strange for a Mexican restaurant especially considering their prices are not inexpensive. Also, no one ever took our drink order, the waiter never asked us at any point if we wanted something to drink-after our entrees were served I had to ask if we could get drinks. I see in other reviews that others had this same issue, it's no big deal, I just found it strange. Despite those two small issues, I would highly recommend Alas de Frida. We went at 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon so we didn't have any issues getting a table, but I would imagine at night, especially on a weekend, the wait will be long considering how excellent the food is. Everything is very high quality and the...

This place never lets us down, even when they are packed and there’s a long wait we always manage to sit at the bar where we get exceptional service. Not to mention the food is something you’ll be dreaming about until the next time you make it here! Guacamole is fresh and insanely good, quesobirria tacos are just the things dreams are made of and perfect proportion to leave you satisfied, served with fresh sauce (the broth that the birria is cooked in and a green tomatillo sauce). The other reviewers that say the birria is underwhelming obviously doesn’t know what authentic Mexican food tastes like..maybe they should go to Margaritas for some bland gringo tacos….I literally have been searching across this state for decent Mexican and I’m so glad I found this place! Yeah, it’s not cheap because it is real food with fresh ingredients made authentically and full of flavor so you are going to pay a little more-I mean if u want cheap go to Taco Bell…

We have been here multiple times, when they are empty and when they are busy and service was excellent every time. The bar tenders are so friendly, always have a smile on their face, and are very attentive.

It’s a little out of the way but we literally will go to Manch just to be able to come here..don’t skip this place you...

I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time. After going for the first time today, I regret waiting so long. We started with salsa and tortilla chips which were brought out right away. The chips were crispy and fresh, so I'm going to assume they are made in house. The salsa was flavorful with a little kick. We ordered drinks, and they cane out in less than 5 minutes. I had a peach Margarita which was delicious. We didn't order appetizers, though several sounded really good. For my meal, i had the Birria Chimichanga and it was the bomb! It came with white rice and black refried beans and Birria broth for dipping. Delicious! My dining partner had the fish tacos, which he said he enjoyed. For dessert I had the Xangos which is Mexican cheesecake wrapped in a crepe, deep fried and topped with cinnamon sugar honey and a couple dollops of whipped cream. That was to die for, a great choice to finish the meal. The dining partner had the churros. He said he liked them, too. The food was excellent. The service was excellent, too. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I'll definitely go back as there are several more dishes I'd love to try. It's on Elm Street, so it's got plenty of parking at the Vine St garage it you don't mind...
