I don’t normally post bad reviews, I rather post good ones but this one was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. We ordered take out tonight and settled on Osaka in Manchester because of all the great reviews. We put in our order, a whole bunch of stuff, came out to $90 roughly. My husband goes and picks up food and brings it home and I start separating it out for my kids. First thing we noticed was they charged us extra for a marinated egg in the ramen and when we open the ramen, none of the eggs were marinated. Fine, that’s not a deal breaker. Then I got to split the pad Thai and I see a giant thick black hair stuck to a piece of broccoli and a noodle. 🤢 that’s were I draw the line. So my husband calls and lets them know and we asked for a refund, offered to send them a picture via email and the lady who said she was the manager argued with us over the phone. Said we would have to bring all the food back for a refund. I let her know I threw it away and I don’t live by there, and now I have wasted an hour and need to find somewhere else to feed my kids. She proceeded to argue, and so finally I had enough and went through the garbage and got everything I could. The ramen was still in the bowl untouched, and the fried rice. My husband takes it all back and then she argues with him more. Saying now she only is going to refund the pad Thai. My husband at this point was like no I just want my refund and be on my way. A guy from the back came out and told her to stop arguing and he handed my husband the refund. As my husband was leaving she told him never to come back again. I get restaurants make mistakes, I get things happen but that customer service was the worst I’ve experienced and as you all know customer service has gone way down since Covid….. accountability goes a long ways. we won’t be back. We love supporting local and small business but not when they treat customers like that.

Osaka makes amazing fresh food. The sushi is always delicious and fresh and extremely reasonably priced. The general Tso is another dish I order frequently and is super crispy and flavorful. It’s tough to make a good general Tso but Osaka hits it out of the park. The fried rice and white rice are cooked to perfection. I order the gyoza and miso soup every time I go because they’re delicious and addicting. I recently got the steak and chicken teriyaki combo and it was delicious. Not only is the food here phenomenal, consistently awesome and extremely reasonably priced, but the takeout service is very fast and efficient and the dine in service is top notch. The restaurant itself reminds me of some spots in Brooklyn I’ve been to. Nice comfy seating and cool decorations. Osaka has quickly become one or my favorite places in Manchester for sushi and Asian cuisine. The mixed drinks are also reasonably priced, delicious and strong. I’ve gone at least 10-15 times and have always been extremely pleased with the food, the service and the overall experience. Go check them out!

Really good hibachi and sushi EDIT- I just ordered there a second time and got salmon shashimi and a tuna avocado roll, this might be the best thing I ever ate. I used to only get Asian breeze but it's so far to drive I'm glad to find a new good place finally! 3rd-10th(?) order- sashimi and sushi are better here than I have had anywhere nearby. Portion of fish is bigger than most places for the price. And the presentation is beautiful. Sometimes they even put a pretty orchid flower in your takeout. The other 2 sushi places on elm street have a lot of rice and tempura flakes and sauce. But this place has large pieces of fresh fish and avocado, cucumber etc!

The sushi was excellent. However the rest of the experience was not. We ordered two appetizers and three rolls. The waitress forgot one of the appetizers. The rolls took almost 45 mins. We were in the restaurant for almost an hour and a half. There were only two other tables. We had to ask for everything. Napkins, water, chopsticks etc. I regards to the owners reply. It the "special" order was to leave out avocado. Not sure by not adding an item that caused you to take more time. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in 1 single guy, two couples and us. If this is your busy time you have bigger issues. It's a real shame. The quality of the sushi was great and the presentation was beautiful. But if you can't serve people in a timely manner then your not going to keep customers. The reason that we placed a second order was for my daughter. She was so hungry and she likes the sushi that she wanted...
