Porky's Pit BBQ — Restaurant in Manchester

My husband and I ordered beef, potato salad, and white beans (the sides were recommended by the very friendly lady who took our order). The food was all the correct temperature for what it was (meat and beans were hot and potato salad was cold), although the beans did need to be drained. I would recommend taking the food home instead of eating at the picnic tables, simply because the food is unseasoned/lightly seasoned and they don’t have many condiments. However, contrary to several reviews I read, I like that they don’t season/over-season the food, because it leaves room (if you take the food home) for you to season/customize each portion to your individual taste.

Unrelated to the food and service here (but the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5), I mentioned that I read their reviews. While reading, I took note of the owners’ responses and noticed a couple (to negative reviews) in which it seemed like the owner overlooked the line between stating facts, and being abrasive. A little pricey for a BBQ shack, but it was some of the best BBQ beef I've had. The scratch board menu is not 100% accurate it does not have detailed discriptions, so ask s lot of questions (it is just a window in a shack). We were first in line so our service was super fast but those behind us had to wait (not too long) to get there orders taken. I asked if the beef was brisket and was told it was and that it was chopped and pulled. I'm not sure it really was brisket and it was a little salty but I liked it. Drove to location to order 10 pulled pork plates. Nice younger lady at the window took my order after I told her I had a large one to place. She said ok and took the order, older lady from the back comes up and says next time you have a large order call it in(rudely).I said I tried but no answer, called at 10:50am. She said we open at 10:45. This whole time being rude and unprofessional. Not sure how the food is because I can take my $100 order somewhere else. So I did!!
