My recent experience at Royal India was nothing short of extraordinary! From the warm, inviting ambiance to the impeccable service, every detail was carefully crafted to offer an authentic, memorable dining experience.
The food at Royal India is a revelation for the senses. I started with their vegetable samosas – crispy, golden, and packed with flavorful spiced potatoes. The star of the evening was the butter chicken: tender, succulent, and swimming in a creamy, mildly spiced tomato sauce that was simply divine with their soft, buttery garlic naan. The lamb biryani was aromatic and layered with a perfect balance of spices, each mouthful more satisfying than the last. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing a deep understanding of Indian flavors and cooking techniques.
The service at Royal India is exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and answering our questions about spice levels and ingredients. They ensured our glasses were never empty and checked in just the right amount to make sure we were comfortable.
The ambiance added so much to the experience. Royal India has beautifully combined traditional Indian decor with modern touches, creating a warm, welcoming environment. The soft lighting and soothing background music made it feel intimate and elegant – perfect for both date nights and family dinners.
With the quality and authenticity of the food, the attentive service, and the beautifully designed setting, Royal India offers excellent value for money. Each dish is crafted with care, and it’s clear that they use fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Royal India is a gem, offering an unforgettable journey through the flavors of India. For anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine with a refined touch, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back soon and can’t recommend it...

I'm not sure if something happened after their change in ownership. They were "normal" for a while after that change, but more recently I have noticed a big change in the food.
Their Chicken Tikka Masala went from being one of my favorites, to a bland, less flavorful, less thick (so, more watered down) of a sauce, and also waaaaay less spice. The chicken also feels like it wasn't cooked in a tandoor for as long (doesn't have the same orange color to it.) In terms of the spiciness, I ordered Hot last time and it was barely Mild to me, compared to a time in the past where I had ordered Hot and it had a lot of good spiciness to it. I cannot speak to the other menu items, as I typically just get the CTM.
Unfortunately it seems like I will have to try other places in the area which really saddens me as this place had one of the best Chicken Tikka Masalas I had tried in the area. I hope they address whatever change happened and I'd be happy to go back again.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I get takeout from here all the time. And by that I mean probably every other weekend, occasionally during the week. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is amazing, best I've had in NH. Their Biryani is also great.
Their customer service is top tier. In the past I've ordered something incorrectly ('Chicken Tikka' instead of 'Chicken Tikka Masala' - my fault) and they provided the sauce at a very reasonable price.
There was even one time recently that our Uber Eats order was incorrect, and Royal India went above and beyond to get us the correct food at no extra charge.
Definitely recommend trying it out if you haven't...
Read moreExtremely upset and disappointed in my experience here. For starters, I didn't even get the correct order and I waited an HOUR for it to be ready, plus extra time sitting at the bar waiting for it to be delivered to me. I got home and unpackaged it and they literally screwed up everything. I didn't order the vegetable pakora but it was in my bag, I didn't get the garlic naan bread and vegetable samosas I PAID for. The gobhi Manchurian looked horrific and felt like it had sat out for hours. The tikka masala I ordered was good don't get me wrong but at that point I'd rather just make it at home where I'll be guaranteed ALL THE FOOD I PURCHASE!!!!! You'd think if someone's paying $44 for food you'd ensure their order is correct am I right?! The other thing that gets me is it wasn't even busy!! And I wasn't the only one who was displeased with the service. A woman that was in the restaurant long before me asked the bartender (the only staff in the whole place) when her order would be ready because her flight would be leaving in an hour and she'd been waiting as long as I had, an hour. Aside from 2 other groups sitting at tables eating it was dead in there. The other thing that pissed me off was the fact that these two guys got their takeout order almost immediately when they walked in while I was left sitting there feeling like an idiot for almost 20 minutes! Not to mention the drinks left on the bar and open napkins that were there when I arrived and the bar was completely empty. This entire experience was frustrating. I should've known when I called and I didn't get the warm fuzzies! Save yourself and go somewhere...
