Review for Burger Lounge, Manhattan Beach I stopped by Burger Lounge while traveling on my bike, cash in hand, just looking for a meal and maybe a little warmth from the cold. I wasn’t asking for anything special—just wanted to see if hospitality still existed. Instead, I was met with nothing but indifference. The staff didn’t offer a greeting, a smile, or even basic courtesy. I asked a simple question, and the response was dismissive, almost as if I wasn’t worth their time. The guy behind the counter barely looked at me before brushing me off with a cold, uninterested "Good luck." No attempt to help, no concern, no effort. Just an attitude that said, You’re not our problem. A place like this can serve the best burgers in the world, but if the people running it treat customers like they don’t matter, what’s the point? Food is everywhere. Service, respect, and basic human decency? That’s what makes a business stand out. I won’t be back. Not because of the food—I never even got the chance to try it—but because of the way I was treated. And that says more about a place than anything on the menu.

Pretty darn good burgers!!! The grass-fed beef is tasty and all of the additions are very fresh. The fries and onion rings were hot and crispy. Got the Lounge Burger and the Classic Burger - both were fantastic. Try this little gem of a burger spot. The atmosphere is super chill and the overhead music is not annoying but adds to the uniqueness. Super friendly staff. You can tell they really care and that is soooooo refreshing!!!!

As much as I miss the old Rubios Location that used to be here, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by The Burger Lounge. I had the Alaskan Cod Grilled Fish Burger, and the wife had the Truffle Swiss Grass-fed Burger, accompanied by halfsies(fries/ onions). The Location is half the size of Rubios Coastal Grill, but for the small foot print they make it comfortable.

Started going to Burger Lounge at the original Santa Monica location when it opened. Was happy to see one open up closer by living in Hermosa. Per typical restaurant fashion open up and a lot of attention to detail but now going downhill. Everything was good the first few orders and we made it our regular "Burger" place. However, last 2 orders will have us once again exploring options. Girlfriend's Burger was wrong and somehow ended up a Turkey burger after she bit into it. The fries are also now super dry being over fried or have freezer burn. They are dry and mushy. Today's order we asked for no pickles on the Chicken sammich and it had them. Pickle taste is just something you can't remove even after taking them off. Clearly they can't handle quality of food with uptick in business. On top of this though was we called and let them know it was the wrong food and the "manager" said he would refund it and thanked her for feedback on fries. Never refunded. Ended up contacting the HQ in San Diego and they issued a refund. However, they dropped the ball on that trying to put blame on ordering through Uber eats which we have NEVER. Always order though the BL website. Bad look to point at 3rd party operators that you yourself partnered with. The problem is still the problem wherever...

First time going here and the last. A burger fries and drink is $30! Supposedly the burger would drop to $8 on checkout but it didn't, it's a scam. With tax a bbq burger is basically $15. Now, the food did LOOK great, but when I took a bite I damn near spit it out. It was god awful. I thought " what the hell was that!? Oh my God, that was horrible". I looked it over and it looked OK, so I took another bite and there was just something off... I honestly don't know what it was, but something was off. I just kept thinking maybe the meat was soured? Maybe the cheese was some weird cheese? The bacon seemed OK, but the burger tasted like something was wrong... then the whole day I had this off putting taste in my mouth that was fairly disgusting after that. I really have no clue what it could have been but maybe something in the kitchen that was old cross contaminated with the fresh meat? It was one of those things you want to go and conduct an inspection of the kitchen just to see what's going on back there and how clean is...
