Pros: warm and inviting space, comfortable lounges but lacks options.

Cons: Food is basic coffee shop food, uncomfortable seating at tables, price of items, parking, no handicap button at doors.

I went to this establishment today to do some business planning and this is how it went.

The staff were inviting and friendly. There is plenty of seating here with several oversized chairs which were comfortable. The one caveat id say here is that there are not many comfortable chairs to sit and use your computer.

I took off one star for the food, not the coffee. The coffee was great but the souffle was not what I expected. The crust of the souffle was closer to that of a pie crust rather than a souffle crust. I would recommend adding more butter to make the crust and filling more airy and light.

The restrooms are clean and you'll have to take my word for it b/c I didn't take pictures in there. (Don't take your phone into the bathroom) 😯

I took another star off for food because of the price and the overall quality of the food. Most of the food tastes as though it has been sitting around awhile and for coffee shop foods this is even a disappointment. I am sure that the overhead due to it's location is a large reason for the up charging but I found it expensive. My wife and I got two souffles and two small chai tea lattes and paid 27$.

For someone who have been to Europe many times I found these prices to be 15% higher than international prices and with less attention to detail in the preparation.

I hope this helps..

Update: I notice that the coffee shop feels fairly sterile and has not one plant.lol It doesn’t help that I just saw a customer wipe their nose on one of the...

We have been going to Flight Crew since it opened over three years ago. I knew the minute, I walked through the door it was going to become a habit that I would not be able to break.

It is such a cute, warm and inviting atmosphere unlike any place in Manhattan. The baristas are all so sweet, always have a smile on their face and remember your name. The service is fast and efficient.

Today, we went in and stopped to say hi to the owner, Heather. Before we reached the counter to order, the barista had already prepared our "usual" and put it on the table beside our "usual" chairs. Talk about making you feel special.

If you have not yet tried Flight Crew, you must put it on your bucket list soon and it will become a habit for you as well. The coffee is absolutely delicious and the variety of specialty drinks is amazing. I now have several "favorites" making it difficult to choose. In addition to the coffee, Heather makes the absolute best coffee cake I have ever eaten anywhere. It is a must try.

Thank you, Heather, for bringing this wonderful coffee shop to downtown Manhattan. It was exactly what was needed in our...

This coffee shop has only been opened for a couple of weeks and it has surpassed all its competitors here in Manhattan! The ambiance is inviting and warm, the staff seems delighted to be working here, and the quality of the coffee is excellent (not to mention the themed names for the coffee drinks -- how cute!). It's got a down-to-earth feel with drink options for every type of customer. The location of this place was well thought out too. Downtown Manhattan needed a coffee house. Now you can snag a warm drink while walking around all the local shops on Poyntz. Just last week I came in on Saturday to get coffee with my family while we waited to get sat at The Chef for brunch. It made the 45 minute wait for The Chef go by faster, especially since there was a puzzle we could work on at one of the tables in Flight Crew! I can't say enough about this place, except that I'm so grateful for a local coffee house that has finally managed to encapsulate the perfect coffee experience that makes waking up early worth it!

Without a doubt, I will be a...

What an adorable coffee shop! The aesthetic is well thought out and executed! I loved the attention to detail from the flight attendant barista outfits to the drink menu. Absolutely adorable. My husband had the Willa Brown and I had the Amelia Earhart with almond milk. There was no upcharge for milk alternatives which was very nice. The drinks were delicious and we would highly recommend going and checking it out! Heather, the owner, was so nice and excited. You can pay with your phone, chip card, or regular card which I found very helpful.
