Taco John's-Manhattan — Restaurant in Manhattan

I love Taco John's food. However, last time I went, they got my order completely wrong. My wife and I thought maybe they switched our order with somebody else's based off how badly they messed up the order. That being said, even with the order wrong, the food was still good for a reasonable price (although we paid for 2 large orders of potato oles and didn't receive them at all). They have good Tex-Mex tacos, burritos, and their potato oles are delicious. They are crispy on the outside with a nice soft flavorful center, and topped with just the right amount of salt. I sometimes go to Taco John's just to order the potato oles. They only reason I'm giving it a 4 star review instead of a 5 star is because they don't always get your order right. This last time was not the first time they've messed my order up. If they would improve their customer service, I'd gladly rewrite this review to a 5 star review. Fast Mexican, really it's much like Taco Bell, except you can sit and have a meal inside, and the drive through is faster here. It would be really a benefit if they went back to their salsa bar, huge amounts of plastic package waste from the sauces and ketchup. The specials change and they have some new twists to things on the menu. The regular taco has more filling than the comparable taco at the bell. The only thing is getting used to the potato rounds being in most dishes. I would say that the breakfast is really good as well, they just don't open early enough to do me any good except on the weekend.

Update: New menu item the Spicy Steak and Potato Griller is very tasty, is not spicy at all. Just order a couple of them, it's not a burrito, more like a little square, about half of a chimichanga....

Tried to order through the drive up and the speaker was breaking up then had another worker a woman and said I can’t deal with this . Then the manager. The speaker keep breaking up! So I pulled around to the window to place my order. He said his name was Timmy…. Placed my order. . Two women, they’re laughing at me as I’m sitting outside waiting for my order…. It was very obviously, these two women didn’t really care about anything only to make fun of someone. . First time ever been to taco John’s only visited because it was next to the farmers market I don’t plan on going back . I guess this is what customer services these days, no kindness, no respect, end up, throwing all the food out because I was scared of what they put in it these two dark skin women were literally pointing at me...
