Columbo's Pizza — Restaurant in Manheim Township

Called this business multiple times, at different intervals waiting 5 to10 minutes in-between. To only get the line busy each and everytime. It's understandable if they are truly busy, but I've called over 12 times with no answer. I figured I would give the business another chance and attempt to place an order. Trying to place an order I'm greeted with the same "line busy" even after the owner commented on my review that they will work on it... So this time I figured I would stop in and see about this line busy issue. To only be told, " yeah we are to busy so we have to take the phone off the hook" last I checked a busy business is a good business, that just tells me they don't want business... I've been getting pizza hear for years and I've never had to deal with this before. I work from 6am to 6pm all week, and I wanna be able to call a business and place my order to pick up on my way home from work so I don't have to cook on nights I'm really tired. We love this place very much. It did have a change of owners and employees, but they are still great and kept things how they were for the most part and added a lot more to the menu. They did make some small changes to make things even better. We do miss the old staff but the new owner and staff are very nice and hardworking and we like them a lot. This place makes the best pizza in Lancaster County, strombolis are pretty good, and so are the subs. Just wish they would drop the Pepsi products for Coke products. The prices are reasonable and usually better than anywhere else. My entire family has been coming here for years. We are never disappointed. The only negative thing I could say is that their dining room could use a remodel. But we usually get takeout/delivery. We go out to many different pizza places almost every Friday night, but most of the time, we end up just getting Columbos if we can't all agree on a new place. If I were anyone else this would be a 4 & maybe even a 5 overall!!! So if you are reading this…. This place is good. Marinara great flavor, robust some spice & complexity. Mozzarella Sticks hot, buttery, cooked to perfection. This reviewer couldn’t decide the age old question. “To dip or not to dip?” The cheeseburger sub, hot fresh, SEASONED (hallelujah!!!) tasted great. Unfortunately, was light. Suggestion for owners: IMHO, Meat should be end to end, lettuce & filler should rise above the bread. This was a 1/2 patty & 1 pinch of lettuce from perfect. Mayo was sweet, which is not my fave, however because it was well seasoned I didn’t mind as much. If you are going to go sweet use Miracle Whip 🤢. Cheese was good. The outside & inside unassuming.
