We have been going to Stoner Grille since it opened. Every time it's gotten worse and worse. Last night will be the last time we go there. We went to meet friends, hear the band and get some food. Waitress did not come to our table for drinks for over 20 minutes so went to the bar to order drinks and grab a menu. After ordering and checking the bar several times to see if our food was up they finally went back to the kitchen and checked on the order. I had soggy jerk nachos that sat for a while before being served and my wife ordered caesar salad with grilled chicken. Not really difficult to prepare. The salad was soggy and come out with about four dry little square pieces of chicken and some bacon pieces that looked like someone scraped the grille and put them on the salad. We took the salad back to the bar as we still had no server stop by since we had been there. When we showed the bartender what the problem was she said she would just take it off the bill. She never asked or offered how to fix the problem. We just wanted a new salad with a nice piece of grilled chicken. She kept saying she would just take it off the bill then said the kitchen is closed now anyway. Then the owner came over and offered to make a new salad. Another half hour went by and still no salad and no server. Finally the bartender came to the table and started complaining that's where all her bar glasses were. We had big group and everyone had to get their own drinks since the service was so bad. After asking her where the remade salad was she proceeded to tell my wife how she shoved the salad in her face and that she was so rude and that's why she was going to take it off the bill. That was it for us, forget it, time to go! I went to the bar again. This time to pay the bill. Bartender gave me a credit card slip with no detail. I had to ask her for one. The owner then came over again and said that my wife "could have been a little nicer"! Excuse me, your restaurant messes up an order and we wait another 1/2 hour and need to ask again about the remake and your only comment is "you could have been a little nicer." No apology, nothing! He then carried the salad again and put it in our faces saying "now you don't want it, after all that." We go out a lot, mistakes happen, but there are ways to handle it. The service was not good, the food has gone down hill as well as menu selections and the owners do not know how to handle problems. Save yourself the trip and money, go somewhere else. Lancaster has a lot...
Read moreThe Stoner Grill consistently delivers above-average pub fare in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping in for a casual dinner or catching a live band on the weekend, this spot has never disappointed me.
One of the standout features here is the bar—generous pours and reasonable prices set it apart from others in the area. The bartenders don’t skimp, and it’s refreshing to see quality drinks served with such consistency.
The food easily exceeds typical pub expectations. From hearty burgers to elevated comfort dishes, everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and satisfying. It's the kind of menu that feels familiar but with a step up in quality and creativity.
The ambiance is another high point. With options for indoor dining, covered outdoor seating, and a spacious deck outfitted with cozy fire pits, there’s a perfect spot for everyone, no matter the weather or mood. The live music lineup is always rotating, and they do a great job bringing in a variety of talented local acts—definitely a bonus for any night out.
The wait staff deserves a shout-out as well—super friendly, helpful, and clearly working hard to keep things running smoothly. That said, they often seem stretched a bit thin, especially on weekends. Adding a few more hands to the team during peak times could really enhance the overall experience.
All in all, The Stoner Grill is a great choice for anyone looking for quality food, strong drinks, and a fun, comfortable vibe. It’s a place you’ll want to come back to—whether for a night out with friends or a relaxed dinner with live tunes in...
Read moreDon't plan on going back. My husband and I went here for a date night. I read the reviews and prepared by making a reservation, but I should have stayed away.
Reservations. Making a reservation is essential here. We were inside from 6:30-8:30 and the entire place was empty (8+ tables empty) yet the hostess would not seat people and had a 25 min wait. People were really angry and it was uncomfortable for us even. It seemed really messy. No one ever came to sit at the tables she wouldn't give away. Hot and uncomfortable. It was a high of 91 yesterday and they did not have the air conditioning on. The doors were open yet there was no breeze inside as the door was not even close to us nor is this the type of set up for that. We were really uncomfortable and sweating. Management should have known to turn on the AC on a summer day that warm. There were no fans either. The wait. We had to wait nearly 30 minutes from the time our check was dropped off until the time our server checked us out. Even with a minor issue on our bill, that's absurd. Further the server told us management took off even more than the issue and did not. They simply fixed the bill to the proper amount. Inaccurate menu descriptions: We ordered the grilled vegetable pizza with a description of tomato, garlic, and olive oil. The pizza then comes with broccoli, zucchini, green beans, and asparagus all to my husband's dismay who did not like those items on his pizza. So disappointing that we ordered something on the menu with such a different description.
All in all, it felt like a miss. We don't...
