This is going to be lengthy, I'll warn you all now. My wife and I were in this Walmart looking at paint. We found colors we wanted, found the bases we needed, and were ready for it to be mixed. There was not an associate in sight. I walked around the main aisles looking for any associate, finally finding one by the fitting rooms. They said they would page someone for me. Over the next 5 minutes, 2 pages went overhead for help at the paint desk. Another associate, possibly a lot associate walked by and asked if we needed help. We told him what we needed, and he said he would find someone. We heard 2 more pages go overhead for assistance at the paint desk. We waited for a total of 20 minutes before we finally decided to do it ourselves. My wife and I have both worked at home improvement retailers in the past, so we know how to mix paint. We played with their system for a few minutes to figure it out, and then mixed 2 gallons of paint ourselves. While mixing the paint, I even took my time to assist another customer in the aisle, as she couldn't find an associate either. When we went to put the cans in the shaker, 2 off the clock associates came over, one of them yelling at us that we couldn't be behind the paint desk. We told him we had asked and received no assistance, so we would step out from behind the paint desk when someone was there to help us. He again yelled at us to get out from behind the counter, and my wife gave him the same response. He then turned in frustration, mumbled that he didn't want to have to argue about this, then said he would go find someone for us if we stepped out from behind the desk. So, while the silent associate stood there playing on her phone and keeping an eye on us, the associate who had yelled left to find someone. He returned about 5 to 10 minutes later and told us that CM Terry would be over to help us. At this point, I called the store from my phone. A girl answered the phone, I explained that I was in the store at the paint desk, and wanted to speak to the manager on duty. I asked her if she could have the manager meet me at the paint desk, and her response was that an associate was on their way to help us. I told her that I had heard that several times already, and I really wanted to speak with the manager. She then told me she had just heard it go over the radio that terry was coming to help us. At this point, frustration took over, and I yelled that I knew that someone would be coming to help, but I still wanted to speak with the manager. Her response this time, was to hang up the phone. I never got her name, because they don't introduce themselves when they answer the phone. A minute later, 6 associates, who later told us they were on the overnight crew, came over to assist us and learn to mix paint. None of them were named Terry. We told them we already mixed it and we just needed it shaken for us. These 6 associates were all friendly and tried to diffuse the situation more than anyone else. Had it not been for these 6 associates, I would have found a way to rate this store at zero stars. When we were done, I asked the guy who had showed the others what to do, if he could get the manager for me. He called over the radio and asked the manager to meet me at customer service. The manager...
Read moreTerrible service security had a power trip and kicked me and 3 of my friends out because of "horseplay". Me and my friends were shopping for sports equipment and pre workout. After me and my friend found a ball we liked we made our way through the store to meet up with two other friends that were shopping on the other side of the store. As we were doing this a security guard started following us. I pointed this out to my friend and thought nothing of it. When we finally met up with are friends we were confronted by the security guard that had followed us and an undercover security guard. They asked us if we were there with our parents and we said no. They than asked If we plan on buying the ball and I responded with maybe because I was unsure as to if I was buying it yet. After I said this they instantly told us to get out wich me and my friends did in a respectful manor. I later called the store and spoke with a manager who then started making up stuff that hadn't happen for an excuse as to why we were kicked out. The manager claimed he spoke with security and that security said they had asked us to stop bouncing the ball 3 times wich never occurred. I then told him he could check the cameras and see that they hadn't spoken or made contact with us until we had met up with our friends wich he refused to do saying multiple security guards claimed that they spoke with us prior the the confrontation. Wont be going back if this is how walmart treats...
Read moreA security guard yelled at my friends and I and told us we would be “kicked out” for quietly minding our business while our friend tested out a bike in the aisle. We were not being loud nor causing a disturbance and he was very aggressive for no reason. In the discussion we we’re cooperative, calm, and we didn’t question or argue and we’re respectful and put the bike back even though our friend was simply testing it up and down 1 aisle. Alongside this, he pointed to me and my other friend when we we’re standing at the end of the aisle on our phones and said we were “guilty by association” and would face consequences of our friends actions of simply testing out a bike. If I’m being honest it was odd has he followed us around the whole time we were in the store and the whole scenario was handled weirdly, especially as we were quiet, and just walking around minding our business as friends. I genuinely hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else as it was unprofessional for the extent the situation reached as it was never a situation that was very serious. A simple “May you please put the bike back, we don’t allow testing in the store.” Would’ve been perfectly okay and fine as we weren’t aware but instead it was hostile, accusatory, and overall just very rude and could’ve been addressed in a...
