We just bought a new home and were replacing all of the kitchen appliances. I had gone to Costco, Sears, Martins, JCPENNY, Home Depot and Lowes. I was pretty set on buying from Sears or Home Depot as I was getting tired of researching all the different options everywhere. I was driving by the mall when I saw LHBRUBAKER. I went in just to browse 1 last time and was met by a friendly salesman named Tony. He asked if he could help and me and I kind of cut him off telling him everywhere I had been and the research I had done because I didnt want.to hear another speal. Once he heard what I was interested in he walked me over to the appliances I was interested in and began asking me questions and explaining things I did not consider or knew about the appliances I was looking at. He knew the products very well and was able to explain the features without any queue cards. With in 15 minutes I had a quote and new perspective about what I wanted. After discussing with my wife, I called the next day with cc to make purchase. The service installers Ken & Colin were very professional during the install. They were very conscientious about moving the new and old appliances in and out without any damage. Gave us good recommendations and information on our new products. Oh did I mention they were 2k cheaper than Costco installed! I shared my experience with 2 couples who were in Costco looking at the same set. I highly recommend this company. Its very hard to find companies that offer a good experience without making you feel like your just another number or you are bothering them because you want to buy something. Many companies could learn good customer service from...
Read moreThis is not the place to go if you're trying to shop local. I walked in to purchase an item that I could have purchased on Amazon or at another hardware store. When I inquired about the model, I was asked if I wanted to purchase it without an offer of advice or seeing if it fit my application. Instead I was told that the salesman was happy that he didn't have to schedule an installation. After returning to the store because my kitchen designer made a mistake and this item wouldn't work for my project, the saleperson and even the manager, were very quick to tell me about their 35% restocking fee. Was this mentioned when I purchased the item? No. And yet it appears to me they hid behind their fine detailed print without any concern for their customers. It's a shame. They worked with us and knocked the fee down to 28%, which I suppose I'm supposed to feel good about. Unfortunately, I don't believe it cost almost $200 to return and restock an item. And if it does, shame on the manufacturers and this company for not working through a better solution that doesn't ultimately punish its customers. Had I been able to repurchase another item, I still would have had paid the fee. Ridiculous. Shop...
Read moreThe salesman in the store was excellent, I wish I could say the same about the delivery/ install guys. I bought a washer, dryer, refrigerator and dishwasher. My house has cpvc pipe that is fragile with its age. So my wife asked the install guys to just use the water main to turn off the water to the dishwasher instead of the Cpvc valve under the sink. I also left a note taped to it in case she forgot to say something. They still tried the valve and broke it. Luckily they did have a plumber come the same day to fix it. But the problem was avoidable from the beginning. They also never put the kick plate at the bottom of the dishwasher on, (picture attached of how they left it) which is minor but for the money they charge I expect a lot more. Also, for my dryer install they reused the flexible exhaust pipe and clearly never test ran the dryer because lint fell down the old flex duct and blocked the exhaust on the dryer so it wouldn’t run properly. I tried to support a local business over the box stores in hopes that they would have more qualified and knowledgeable people working for them, clearly they do not. Not a bad place to buy appliances if you plan to do your own...
