5/24/25 Was playing a game and my laptop suddenly shut off. Visited the shop to get it repaired had charger and unit. Paid 90-100$ for the assessment. Later that day staff called and said that the motherboard was damaged, they are able to send it to the motherboard specialist to be fixed i agreed set price to 250-300$
6/5/25 I had to call because I did not get any updates for so long. Staff said the motherboard specialist was able to fix it but a new problem occurred that the computer screen was damaged, and was being sent back for further assessment. I asked how does a motherboard cause damage to the screen? Staff said no motherboards don't tend to do that. The damage is internal you cant see it on the screen. It was probably caused by a high impact or high pressure. Either from you dropping it or during delivery to the motherboard specialist. I questioned them on how they do their packaging and shipping. Their answer was that it's private information and can't disclose it. Then started implying that I was the one who damaged it, and will know more once it gets back to the store. At this point i asked how much would that cost now. Estimated 300-450$ for the screen repair depending on the severity. I dint know what to say or do because of how ridiculous things have become so I waited till the unit arrived.
6/12/25 Got a call from store, stating my laptop was working now but the screen was damaged. They can repair it with the estimated price. I refused because it was getting expensive and I felt that I was being scammed. Due to the lack of transparency, and constantly being implied that I was the one that caused the damage.
6/14/25 Went in to check my laptop. Visible damage to the screen. External damage to upper R side. Previous conversation with the staff said caused by internal damage. Still implying that I damaged it. I requested a copy or documentation on how they assessed my laptops damage and what procedures they did to fix it. Unable to give due to company privacy concerns. All I got was a copy of the price. At that point I just gave up, I paid for the motherboard repair. I asked for the charger back so i can leave to get it repaired somewhere else. Had to wait 20-30min. Only to be told that "sir we've checked our security cameras and we can't find it, it's probably still in the motherboard repair specialist. We can replace it for you or you can wait till they send it back". I took the receipt and headed for the door. The staff said "sir do you want your laptop back". Me being calm person "told the staff that I would wait" But in my mind I wanted to yell "WHY WOULD I WANT MY LAPTOP BACK WITHOUT A CHARGER!!!"
As of now I'm still waiting for an update on when my charger...

(here’s a little background, of the service. skip to next paragraph if you want the results review) Right off the bat, you know the prices are insane. I got the back of my phone fixed for almost 300 a few months ago. At that time they said that they could fix it, so we scheduled an appointment. My dad shows up to drop my phone off and they tried to make the price even higher because they “couldn’t take the back off without the front breaking.” My dad works in customer service, he knows all about pre disclosures and what and what not to do when it comes to business. So here they are asking for more money. My dad told them what he knows and that they better figure it out, cuz we had already paid the 300 and weren’t paying more. I have had the back of my other phone fixed elsewhere for half the price and no issues.
At Asurion, when we discussed the glass being replaced we were told it’s “factory glass.”Got it fixed for the absurd price, just for my iphone to now have no logo on the back. It’s a few months later, and very rarely do I use tap (apple pay) on my phone, but it no longer works. So if you’re like me and don’t bring your wallet everywhere, well you are gonna have to.
Overall, it was a terrible experience. I am never going back, neither is my dad, and I will NEVER recommend to anyone. If anything I will warn them. So if you’re reading this, do what you like with this...
Read moreI have a pixel 4a that the fingerprint sensor stopped working. I contacted google and they said that I could use uBreakiFix and have it fixed under warranty.
I dropped it off and over the next two days it took 5 attempts to pick up my phone, every time something was wrong with it Phone case was cracked Screen was chipped Fingerprint sensor was misaligned and loose Camera would not focus Screen is scratched
To their credit each time they immediately accepted responsibility and took it in to replace the affected component, but a complete and total lack of attention to detail meant that each time something else was wrong with the phone. So after spending close to 5 hours of my time (between driving and waiting) and two days without my phone, I'm just going to deal with the scratched screen at this point. I'm sure I could go back and they would offer to replace the screen again, but then I'm just back at #2, and I am spending more time, gas, etc for a cycle that may never end. I also wonder how many times a phone can be opened and closed before there are other problems that I can't see.
So in summary They do a decent job of replacing the affected part, but due to a complete lack of attention to detail each repair creates new problems with...
