Hawthorne Center is unique for the variety of stores housed but also a revolving door of over crowdedness.
As I said above, the variety of stores is quite pleasing. Small to decent sized Walmart sits in the back and a row of restaurants (Hot Zâs Pizza I recommend for a nice lunch and Hippo Tea (which I reviewed previously) is a great spot for some bubble tea), a gamers touch in GameStop (however with the proximity to Walmart, either option will suffice), tax pros at H&R Block, Marine Insurance, a recruiting station for the military (I got declined for having asthma), and other options at the front (Hobby Lobby, Panera, Mission BBQ, etc).
But also, as I said with the variety of stores, I also say again about the cluttered parking and traffic inside the Centre. To start, when you pull into the center from Fruitville Pike, you (the driver) has the right away compared to the other 3 sides having a stop sign. There is plenty confusion however at times for drivers not being fully aware and accidentally assuming all sides have stops (I know, thatâs on the driver but Iâm just stating it anyways). Then my biggest pet peeve - the row of stores to the right are across the parking lot that is obviously pointed at Walmart but because of most people going to Walmart, the walk to the stores on the right can sometimes be excruciatingly long. However, thatâs not my pet peeve, what is is the darn temporary parking that is not enforced or regulated. I would much rather prefer no âtemporary parkingâ of however long and just replace with regular parking because itâs not followed regardless.
Because of some closures inside the center, you can always expect heavy traffic on the right side of the center compared to the center and almost vacant left (just know youâll be walking for what feels like an eternity if you park out there).
All in all, decent center. Nothing outright beautiful or appealing but also not disappointing either. Their ability to keep locations from being vacant for long definitely gives it...
Read moreI love shopping here I just wish there was a way to keep people from driving like idiots in the parking lot. It's a parking lot not a race track, if someone is almost all the way backed out of their parking spot let them go, stop trying to kill people by flying out of your parking spot, and for love of God, as a pedestrian, if you walk right in the middle you deserve to be ran over because you're just...
Read moreAh, Hawthorne center. Incongruously varied Shoppes and stores. Enjoy a nice Hippo Bubble Tea while visiting Walmart, Game Stop, 5 Below, or the mattress store. Perhaps swing into the Hobby Lobby for some tools of arts and creation. I don't come here frequently. This contains a pizza joint too, which to my recollection is ok. There was a Ruby Tuesday here, but I think it didn't survive the...
