Flask — Restaurant in Mankato

I had a horrible experience. Waited 20 minutes after sitting down before having a waitress come take my order. Waited another 20-25 minutes to get my food. My food was burnt, didn’t have the sauce on it, and chicken was over cooked and extremely dry. I am a regular at the flask. I get the southwest chicken wrap every single time. I know what it’s supposed to look like. They were not busy at all either. I went at 4:30/5. The general manager was our waitress cause I read her name tag.

The waitress never came to check on me after giving me my food. Never gave me the option to tell her I was unhappy with my food. She didn’t come to my table once until she came to put her tablet down on the table for me to pay. After receiving the food I waited 30 minutes just sitting there waiting for her to come check on me so I could pay and leave. I didn’t touch my food at all and she didn’t even acknowledge that or ask if I needed anything. Worst experience ever. I went to this place weekly last summer. They had amazing burgers, awesome drink specials and a cool atmosphere. It’s in a cute quiet little section of downtown that was off the beaten path which I loved even more. HOWEVER over the past 8 months I have become less and less pleased with their food. I recently went in and ordered burgers. They were incredibly dried out, thinner than a pancake and looked as though they had been scrapped out of a deep fryer and slapped in between two buns. I felt the need to bring awareness of this to the staff and the response that was given was that they had recently upgraded their meats and that if their flat top was off even by a couple degrees it would reek havoc on the patties. Regardless the reason, I feel as though I will be taking my business elsewhere as I have given this establishment so many chances. Such a disappointment.

5 Stars – A Complete Turnaround Thanks to Chef Moises! I’ve been to this restaurant before and honestly, I didn’t have the best experience in the past. But everything changed when I recently returned and had the pleasure of trying food prepared by the new chef, Moises.

Wow—what a difference! The flavors, presentation, and overall quality of the food were absolutely incredible. I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. You can tell Chef Moises brings passion, skill, and creativity to every dish.
