I had my first bad experience at Moe's in Storrs Connecticut yesterday. After years of being a patron I was shocked and the level of disrespect and lack of knowledge of not only their staff but a girl who seemed to be a manager. Although Moe's changed their menu, up until yesterday I was able to order the Art Vandalay. Yesterday when I asked the employee "I don't know I'm new" she called over the rude manager "There was never an Art Vandalay". When I said yes there was she had an attitude and was unfriendly as she made my bowl. I was then cashed out by rude girl who didn't let me respond before asking the question again in a snippy manner. I've never been treated so poorly in Moe's so this is for you lack of knowledge manager girl with the tude and glasses. “Art Vandalay is the name of Moe's vegetarian burrito. Billy Barou is the name of Moe's nachos, and close talker is a Moe's salad. The interesting names just make eating here more fun," says Brian Wilson, owner. Art Vandalay is real they did sell it and up until yesterday you could still order it. So before you go telling customer's they are wrong you should educate yourself on the one vegetarian option that people enjoyed on the menu. I was there on August 26, 2021 around 3:30 or so. So If I was upper management I would check the staffing for that day. The ones I mentioned were horrible. I will never return because the level of disrespect was unforgiving. My friend and I went in on February 12, 2018 at around 8:45 pm, and as soon as stepped foot in the facility we were "greeted" with nasty attitudes and stares from the workers. The girl starting the orders gave my friend and I an extremely hostile attitude-- "what can I get for you," she said with a very rude tone of voice. Before my friend time had time to answer, she repeated the question in an ever harsher tone of voice. once my friend told her the order, she began making the tiniest burrito I've ever set my eyes on. After putting on not even a full scoop of rice and beans, I watched as this girl sprinkled approximately six microscopic pieces of chicken into my friends burrito like it was no big deal. Give me a break. She did the same with my taco, I was given five measly pieces of tofu. Once we finished our orders, I tried to pay with husky bucks and of course their machine was broken. While I was waiting for them to fix the machine and my food was getting colder by the minute, another girl kept shoving herself through my friend and I. "Excuse me," she said with a preposterously aggressive attitude. Read moreWorst Moe's location I've ever been to. I'm a regular at Moe's and normally go to the Vernon location where everyone is very nice. However, I stopped at the Storrs location on my lunch break and did not have a pleasant experience. From being a regular, I have a $10 credit on a Moe's application that I planned to use since I did not have much money to spend this day. The man who was the cashier told me that there was nothing they could really do because their computers were down and said he would talk to his manager. The woman behind the counter was apparently the manager and seemed very annoyed by the cashier asking her if there was anything they could do for me and she rolled her eyes and seemed annoyed. The man at the cashier apologized and was very sweet. I was just disgusted by this stores ability to not be able to compensate with their customers. At my job, if there is an error with our technology, we always try to find a solution for the customer. The manager at this location had no compassion and did not care to help.
