DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS LOCATION, STORE #104,
Based on many of the reviews I was only able to read after my visit, I should not have expected my experience to be anything more than what it was: reprehensible. I now realize that there is no possible way that this franchise owner, any affiliated people or partnerships, nor those in charge of maintaining a positive reflection of the brand name ‘Smoothie King’, could have any interest in upholding the purported pledges or initiatives touted across the web. The last thing someone would want to encounter during a peaceful weekend with their family is to have to suffer the discourteousness of a morally disreputable “manager” at an establishment they are going to be spending their hard-earned dollars. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to my family and I at the Smoothie King located at 1520 E Debbie Ln #104 Mansfield, TX 76063. Between tournament games my daughter wanted to have a smoothie in lieu of a big lunch, so we headed over to this location which unbeknownst to us, put our arrival at about 10 - 12 minutes ahead of the posted opening hour of 10:00 am. Not wanting to expend more travel time or energy we decided to sit and just wait until it opened. Not even a minute after shifting into park we hear a loud albeit muffled yell of “We’re Closed!” I looked around to see a loutish woman who- with arms flailing- was gesturing at us to lower our car window. When I obliged, she yelled at us again, “Uh… we ARE closed!”. Bothered yet uninterested in reciprocating her impudent treatment, I simply responded by saying “Ok… I saw that, we’re fine just waiting.” At 10:01 as I walked in, and I was greeted by a lady ready to take my order. Before she could even put punctuation on her statement to me, she was interrupted by that same churlish woman snapping at me to say over and over again, “I don’t open until the lights come on!” I still had no idea why this woman was so intent on being as uncouth as possible to me or what it was that prompted this kind of conduct from her but at that point, I was furious and simply unwilling to passively subject myself to her barrage of ignorance without firmly reminding her of certain facts: My entry into the building was made after the posted beginning business hour. The unlocked door I was able to pass through gave no indication of the establishment being closed at the time I entered. The absence of any signage to the contrary and the fact that EVERY light in the place was on and functioning would represent to any visitor, that the location was open and ready to receive patrons. After saying all of this she decided to refuse service and when soliciting the contact information of her superiors/ owners etc., I was not only given false contact information, but I was flippantly told to “Go back to where I came from.” This woman, who represents herself as the General Manager by the name of MICHELLE KING is completely incapable of basic human respect. It is wholly unacceptable that anyone should have to be treated in such a way. It must be a ruse that she is a manager because I do not even know how this place remains operational with her at the helm. One would think that a company with a message of empowerment to ‘rule the day every day’ would be more concerned about setting themselves apart from their competitors by delivering exceptional customer service, instead of putting people like this woman in charge of ruining peoples’...
Read moreI am a smoothie enthusiast myself, and I regularly go to smoothie kings. However, I have never been in such disbelief of the behavior of the so called manager. I was ordering at the speaker when a young male greeted me respectfully. I ordered a vegan pineapple spinach and was informed that they were out of an ingredient and was suggested to possibly replace said ingredient. As I sit there debating if I want to replace the ingredient or just leave, the young male gets rudely interrupted by the so called manager nearly shouting at me "WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO REPLACE." I sat there in disbelief but decided to have the drink be made without the ingredient. As I'm driving up to the window, and pay around 10 dollars for this drink, I am handed a chunky, powdery, and absolutely disgusting smoothie. As I start to pull off, I glanced back to see the manager smirk as I leave. I don't mean to assume, however, while connecting the dots of the rude interruption and horrible quality of the drink, I felt disrespected and downright insulted. I have been rethinking about this experience, trying to sweep it under the rug, however this behavior shouldn't go unnoticed. I checked the reviews of this place to see if I was the only one with a bad experience, but come to find out, I am...

I should’ve read the reviews and noticed they only had a 3.3-star rating for similar issues to what I experienced here. Unfortunately, my visit confirmed exactly why that rating is so low.
When we arrived, the door was locked, even though the hours posted online indicated they should have been open. To make matters worse, the hours listed on the actual door were completely different and didn’t match what was shown online.
We saw someone inside and knocked, but she glanced at us and continued eating her Chick-fil-A, completely ignoring us. That lack of acknowledgment was not only unprofessional—it was just plain rude.
When I called the store, I was surprised someone answered. The woman explained that they were having POS system issues and waiting on updates, but nothing was communicated to customers—no signage, no notice online, nothing.
I left feeling irritated. A simple sign or explanation on the door would have gone a long way. It’s baffling how some businesses are still operating with this level of incompetence and lack of basic customer courtesy. Smoothie King needs to seriously reevaluate how it handles communication and...
