We just finished a very tasty breakfast from here that was ordered inside, for take out. Our order consisted of Biscuit/Gravy Omelet with pancakes and hashbrowns as sides- The portions were generous enough to split between two people (which we did) and all of the components were delicious. My personal favorite would have to be the pancakes- light & bursting with vanilla flavor. They were so good, I could have eaten them without syrup! The Traditional with eggs (cooked over easy), sausage patties, with toast & fruit (upgrade fee) as sides- The eggs were perfect. The fruit was worth the extra cost; the grapes had snap, the pineapple was freshly cut, and the melons were both perfectly ripened. The toast was burnt and hard (no big loss, but at these prices I expected more attention to detail). The biggest disappointment was the sausage. It was not "well done" as requested and it was also rather spicy for our taste. Croissant Breakfast Sandwich with hashbrowns- The croissant was quite large and there were plenty of eggs to cover all of it. Hashbrowns were golden on the outside, without being greasy, and moist on the inside . The worst part of our entire meal was the bacon served in the sandwich. Even though it it looked very good because it was really dark (which we love), it was not even a little crisp. In fact, the texture was downright rubbery. The bite I took was so chewy (not to mention very smoky) I ended up spitting it out. To sum it up, we were all stuffed and will return in the near future for more of those pancakes. 🤤We will all avoid both the bacon and sausage, but there are still plenty of other items on their menu we would...
Read moreLoved Eggsquisite Cafe!
This morning was our first time visiting an Eggsquisite Cafe. This location is in the town we're building a home in, so it was nice to find a great breakfast spot.
We ate here around 9 am on a Thursday. I'd say the place was about 50% occupied. A pleasant host (maybe the manager) and quite a few servers.
We were able to choose an open booth, got seated and our server, Kim, came by right away and took our drink order (waters and coffees).
After studying the menu a bit, Kim came back over to to take our order:
We ordered: Chicken Fried Steak with White Gravy, 2 Poached Eggs, O'Brien Potatoes and MultiGrain Toast Meat Lover's Skillet with Soft Scrambled Eggs and Pancakes
The food, like the service was fantastic. Nice portions and served hot. I even asked for my pancake to be delayed so I could eat it as my breakfast dessert and Kim told me to just let her know when to drop it. Once I let her know, no longer than 5 minutes later, it was on our table.
My wife's poached eggs were a perfect medium. My soft scrambled eggs were perfect. And soft scrambled is pretty hit and miss. I guess when Eggs is in your company name, you better get them right - and they did.
My skillet was really good and had a lot of meat in it. I ate half my meal and will enjoy the other half tomorrow. Likewise, my wife ate half her meal as well.
Everything here (floor, tables, booths, seats) was very clean and the place was well lit. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. This could be our new favorite in our new area!
See you next time,...
Read moreBusy place, but that’s not bad. They took our number and we were able to wait in our car, and they texted us when our table was ready. Wait was about 15 minutes at about 11am on a Sunday.
Server was nice but after we had finished our meal we had to wait quite a while before she came back around so we could ask for the check. And upon checkout, you have to choose whether or not to tip on their payment device while they’re standing right there looking at you and what you’re selecting - even if they’re not actively pressuring you, the pressure of the situation is inherent and uncomfortable.
The food was probably the worst part. We got some of the breakfast tots that looked and tasted like frozen tots with some packaged white gravy and a fried egg on top. Very bland and uninspired. My gf got a breakfast skillet, and same thing. Very bland and not a whole lot of flavor. Seemed like something that we could make at home for cheaper. I got bacon cheeseburger and it tasted like it was cooked on the same surface as something that was burned. The bacon and patty were not excessively charred, so it was weird that the burned flavor was so dominating. And the patty itself seemed like it had no salt or flavor in general.
Overall, we will probably not be returning. Not an insanely bad experience, but not one we would bother returning for...
