Weekley's Shaved Ice & Snacks — Restaurant in Manvel

I live right down the street from this place and it never fails to satisfy my snacking needs. From my favorite stuffed dreamsicle snow cones to various beverages I may need on the fly, the quality of their food is second only to that of their customer service and hospitality.

During my last visit specifically, I had ordered a couple of snow cones to-go in their drive through. As I received the snow cones however, I turned away from the service window over to my passenger seat to set the to-go carrier down when disaster struck. I tilted the carrier just enough to cause one of the two cones to fall off and bounce not once, but twice off my passenger seat and the floor in front of it where my snow cone met a most gruesome fate. It was almost too difficult to look but alas, the top half had been completely decapitated and the cup itself had taken what looked to be a fatal impact. As I reached down to inspect the integrity of the cup and its remains, I discovered that the side of the cup had indeed caved in allowing melted dreamsicle to bleed out.

"My good sir, say it isn't so!"

sigh "It is..."

The cone was obliterated. And to add insult to injury, my floor mat was covered in orange dreamy sweetness.

With what remained of my will to move on, I quickly drove forward and pulled over a few feet away and out of drive through traffic in order to tend to the damage.

However, in the wake of the aftermath, as I was shaking off my floor mat onto the grass, I was approached by the nicest employees that had witnessed the entire nightmare play out. They offered me a replacement snow cone to which I graciously declined. This was my fault and I was ready to accept that. I told the girls that it was alright and not to worry, after which they reluctantly retreated. A few moments later however they came back out to me and notified me that the construction of another snow cone was already underway thanks to the quick reaction of their teammates.

At this point I didn't want to trouble them any further and informed the kind employee that I would be happy to take the replacement cone. What I did not expect was for her to come back a few moments later with TWO replacement cones. I was inarticulate. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the quality of service these girls provided me. So much so that it most certainly warranted my writing this absolutely unnecessary detailed account of what happened to me that day. As you would expect, I was able to CAREFULLY secure the now THREE snow cones in my vehicle and transported them home safely.

This place is a gem! The staff is amazingly friendly and so patient and helpful while you try and decide which flavors you would like to try and the prices are super affordable. My family and I were treated so wonderfully on the first visit that we returned almost every evening for a week and a half and mind you, this location is about a 15 - to 16-minute drive for me. I will drive however far and pay however much for quality service! They even provided us a coupon for a free shaved ice because during one of our visits we experienced a small wait, personally I still felt the service was prompt but I most certainly appreciated the thoughtfulness and courtesy. Did I mention how delicious the shaved ice is? What I love about their shaved ice is that the syrups are not overpoweringly sweet. Their flavors, in fact, do not have that artificial taste to them that I have experienced at other locations. The shaved ice is super fluffy, which creates this delightful synergy with the syrup that provides your tastebuds this feeling of refreshing coolness to combat these hot Texas days. For our son’s birthday, all he wanted was Weekley’s snowcones. After an extremely hectic day at work, I pulled in at 8:00 pm to the dot. Despite being already closed, Madison and Aileen took our order for eight snocones with not only their characteristic warmth and kindness, but with pure joy. We have previously also experienced exemplary service from Desaray and Arianna each time we have come. They are always so attentive to our family’s severe food allergies and committed to making sure every customer experience is wonderful. These young ladies are superb, kind, gracious and beyond professional. They have certainly won our loyalty as their customers!!!

Our experience at Weekley’s since we recently discovered this gem has been spectacular. As a family with severe food allergies, finding a safe and tasty treat for our children is often a challenge. From our very first experience and every time thereafter, the customer service (and taste!) have been fantastic.
