I am extremely disappointed with both the selection and customer service during my recent visit. I stood around waiting to be acknowledged, and ultimately had to approach someone myself to ask about sourdough bread. The response I received was simply, “We don’t have any sourdough bread”—with no attempt to offer an alternative, explanation, or assistance.
The employee I spoke with appeared completely disengaged, and none of the other staff greeted me or acknowledged my presence. I couldn’t help but wonder if this lack of basic courtesy had something to do with me being there with my special needs, disabled son, who is not yet six years old. Regardless, no customer should feel ignored.
On top of that, the store itself was disappointing. Many shelves were empty, and what little bread was available looked old, hard, and cold—far from fresh. The focaccia on display was rock hard, and I didn’t smell fresh bread anywhere in the store. The atmosphere was more of a hangout for employees than a bakery, with several young staff standing around chatting instead of helping customers.
This is especially disheartening because on a previous visit, the sourdough and focaccia were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the drop in both product quality and customer service has made it clear I will not be returning. Customer service and fresh products should be the foundation of a business like this, and sadly, both were...
Read moreIf I could rate this place a 0 I would. I had a bad feeling when I walked in as no fresh bread was being made and this was early in the day. Everything was prepackaged on cluttered shelves with the label "Baked fresh daily". I have to say, the cinnamon chunk loaf I had was some of the worst bread I've ever purchased. Every one of the other locations has had fresh bread baking and you can smell it in the air. Not this place. I honestly think most of their bread is multiple days old because mine was hard as a rock. I took a piece off and it was honestly difficult to chew through. I spit it out. I then did a test at home and sliced the circular loaf directly in half as naturally the center portion should be the softest but nope it was hard as a rock too...I tried heating up a bit of it and this too was unsuccessful at making the bread edible. The final test, adding butter and heating it up. Still, the bread was tough and gross. I know a lot of the reviews for this place are poor especially the more recent ones and I have to agree. This place was fowl and the bread terrible and expensive. I just threw the rest of it away. I truly believe this location should be shut down if this is the quality they put out and that they feel it's okay to sell their customers days old awful bread. Trying to save $ no doubt but at the end of the day word of mouth will do its thing....
Read moreUpdate: I tried to order a breakfast sandwich to be picked up while my husband and I were getting donuts and coffee at Uffda donuts next door since we were already there and Uffda donuts do not have hot bkfst sandwiches yet but coming soon. Great Harvest Maple Grove website did not offer me any online ordering system to get a sandwich besides door dash store front. I avoid door dash anything like the plague because guess what what happened is they canceled my order (found this out while I was in line of Uffda donuts) but STILL took out the money even though it was them who canceled my order on their end and said I would get refunded in 3 days. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! what about people in this economy which I am lucky to not be that only have 10 to spend in a breakfast sandwich and then are out the $10 and no breakfast. What about them....What a poor experience to try to order for thr 1st time at Great Harvest. Do yourself a favor and take door dash off your online ordering portal. 🙄 Won't be ordering anything from...
