I have frequented this Taco Bell location for well over 10 years now and there is a non-insignificant chance that I have ordered, from here, more times than anyone else alive, or close to it. I have watched countless employees & managers join and leave, like the ebon flow of the tides. Some horrendous, and some with a quality in which I may never see the like of again. However like an ancient rock in the midst of the sea I always held steady, for I would persist and they would not; the new wave of workers to inevitably be replaced by another. I'm sure you're wondering why I chose to write a review now. Of course most reviews tend to be reactionary, something along the lines of "forgetting their hot sauce". For the most part it's simply because I didn't care too much, and compared to most Taco Bell's across the country this is a Michelin star restaurant.
But then SARS-CoV-2 came... it ravaged this country like a disease, literally, and my ability to enjoy the delicacy of late night fast-food. Maple Grove, being populated primarily by geriatrics and adolescents, suffered casualties so heavy it has yet to recover. McDonald's.. no longer 24hrs, Walmart.. no longer 24hrs, White castle.. no longer 24hrs, hell the 2018 golden child called canes began closing at 8pm! The internet itself could not be trusted as restaurant hours constantly changed and weren't updated quick enough. I watched as it all slowly crumbled around me, but I am not without heart. Of course these trying times would cause difficulties. So I did what an ancient rock does best, I persisted. "This wave too shall pass!" I said. Unfortunately, this was no wave... This was a drought. One that began as the hand passed the 10th hour as almost everything would close in this city. The darkness now consumed more than just the sun but the light of businesses as well, and by the time midnight arrived... the city was barren with not a soul or meal to be found. Then, in my moment of despair, I saw it. There, in the distance, was a light. Defeated and broken I whispered, "Don't do this to me, don't give me hope." But, I did the only thing a desperate man like me could do, I chased the light.
There, Infront of me, it stood in all it's glory, shining brightly in a sea of darkness that has long consumed this city. It's logo illuminated the sky as if sending message, a message that said "We are here, we have not forsaken you". This was the last bastion of hope. Still, I did not celebrate, for too many times have I been lured by the seren song of deceiving building lights. Nervous, I pulled into the drive-thru, the menu still glowed, a good sign. Slowly, I lowered my window and waited.. and waited.. and waited. My hope quickly fading and the despair returning, I pleaded with the voice of a broken man "Excuse me, are you still open?", the defining silence threatened to consume the last threads of hope, but just before it did, I heard it. Like the sweet, sultry, serenade of an angel, a voice spoke out to me and said...
"Welcome to Taco Bell, what can I get started for you"
TLDR; This is the only restaurant in Maple Grove that can be relied on at 2am, Thank you for...
Read moreI can not believe the poor customer service at the location in maple grove. The drive thru attendant yelled at me while having to repeat what he said. I ended up gettimg frustrated and raised my voice when after him yelling at me about what type of 5.00 boxes they had informing me that uet again they were out of baha blast. I said what do you have? The guy said he wasn't going to serve me and why i 'copped an attitude?' WOW. i attempted to get the managers name when he came to the wimdow which i was refused. One of the employees represented himself as the manager and said he wouldnt give me his name or store number. I took a picture of the drive thru window with my phone and explained that hopefully it was on the window. In return they BOTH mocked me and said i could have their picture instead. Never have i been treated so poorly, insulted and belittled by ANY food chain. I sincerely question their food practice and how they are still in business I will never return to this location and prehaps others. Both the 'so called nameless manager' and employee acted not only that they didnt want my business but hostile as well. Ill take my business elsewhere from now on. Even with an apology and freebies i still would never feel comfortable returning. Update: The store manager contacted me and immediately apologized and tried to rectify the situation. I appreciated the call of concern and her taking the time to listen to my concerns. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for the...
Read moreI ordered online and still had to wait a while for my food. When it was brought out, I asked the employee for some sauce. She said “you didn’t order any” And I asked if I could go through the drive through since I was already sitting in my car. The most disrespectful service I’ve ever received in my life, this girl looked at me & walked off with so much attitude and didn’t say a word, I have tons of pictures of her and I’ll get it out there.. If you don’t want to serve customers don’t get a job that requires you to deal with people.. She was so, so rude! And when I got home I found out they had shoved the straw in my drink with the paper still on. I noticed the paper when I first got my drink but I thought it was only covering the top which is still gross, like why you opening my straw? Y’all could’ve just handed me my straw, that was very nasty! Nasty like that employees...
