The food is pretty good but the wait time and customer service provided definitely needs improvement! Every now and again, the owner should go through the drive thru and I KNOW they'd experience exactly what Im going to mention: I always have to wait for about 5-6 minutes at the speaker before I'm acknowledged. Sometimes workers will say they know I'm there and that they'll be with me shortly but it is always a long wait. Then, even if there's only 1 or 2 cars in front of me the wait could easily be 10 additional minutes or more. While I completely understand that sometimes fast food places are working with a skeleton crew some days that can't always be the excuse. I believe they just are slow and don't prep the food. Also, the tone used over the speaker could be a bit more friendly bc people can spend their money anywhere. To be honest, I've stopped frequenting this restaurant as much but every now and again I stop here if I want to grab something quick. Anddddddd another thing: I've tried to use offers via the Wendy's app here before. The worker said their scanner was down. I said (which I shouldn't have had to) maybe enlist the help of a.manager???? The manager comes over and says the same thing. Basically, in so many words, telling me that I couldn't redeem my offers bc of their technical problems. I told her that response was not going to work and that it wasn't my fault their scanner wasn't working and to MANUALLY comp me for the price of the offer/item. She did but it blew my mind that I literally had to sit up there and hold court about an offer. She told me she didn't want her workers drawer to be short! I cant make this up you guys! Read moreThis is the worst Wendy's in the area. For work, I travel all over the area and will not go near this Wendy's again. I have been in the customer service industry for years and management is completely to blame here. It is always understaffed and that's why it always takes FOREVER to attempt to get service. It doesn't matter if you're using the drive thru or if you go inside. The employees have to work three different positions all at the same time. The same person that is taking your order should not also be expiditing the food and working the fryers! I understand the importance of labor cost but when you go to a skeleton crew you are providing bad customer service and also not taking care of your employees so the turn around rate is high because these employees can simply go somewhere else and work. Most people only have a 30 minute break for lunch and can't wait 20 minutes to get food...hence the term fast food! Hello! After I called to have staff take my name after an employee deliberately forgot half the food and toy in one of my kids' meals in retaliation for me REJECTING their advances previously, they hung up on me, answered the phone and left it on the counter, claimed they could not hear me, and then hung up when I requested to speak to a manager.
Let it be known I've been going to this location for 20 years, first with my mother as a child and now with my own children as a Maple resident. The state of the staff now is the worst it has been in half a decade.
You need to pay for higher quality employees instead of employing any ragtag desperate no play getting remedial individuals with neither couth nor home training.
I have an abundance of patience and respect for essential workers, but none for those who operate like failed high school cliques.
