McDonald's — Restaurant in Maple Valley

We were shorted a cheese burger and 4 sauces they made up for it and they were more then happy to give us what we paid for. I was so amazed that they took us for our word(even tho we tried showing them the receipt to confirm we weren't lying) and just did what had to be done. The staff was more then happy to just give us what we had paid for and they didn't make a fuss about it. And for that I thank them for not turning it into an embarrassing scene for us because sometimes people can get defensive right off the bat and they just didn't it was an immediate " oh, we are so very very sorry. Please pull up to the second window" at the first windows my husband politely tried to show them the receipt the lovely women who opened the window up politely said its ok we believe you because no one is going to say what you did and show the receipt. We go to the second window right away said im so sorry about this here you go sir im so sorry. Please come back and visit again. Here's you 2 cheese burgers and your 4 sauces. My husband again tried to show someone the receipt and he was told politely it was OK really they didn't need tonsee the receipt they could take him at his word. Amazing customer service, amazing team of people. I wish I gotten names. But just amazing. Thank you so very very much. Politeness, being kind, and mutual respect for each other goes a long way....

Two stars because of the speedy service (even though I was THE ONLY customer), and better than average customer service from the employees i interacted with.

However, my food was SUB-sub-par. The no onion part they nailed it on thai one! But Only the slightest amount of ketchup, and there is a dot of yellow on the bun, but no mustard can be seen, nor even mixed with the ketchup. One of the cheese slices was split in half and hanging off the burger, which normally would be no big deal except the burger wasn't even warm enough to melt the cheese.

Im not being a picky stuck up customer, i was a manager at this very store for nearly 2 years so i know exactly how the burger should be if prepared properly. And I'm seriously questioning if the burger is safe to eat. A patty in holding at a temperate of 135° minimum when removed from holding and placed onto a cheese slice, even a cold refrigerated slice, would have more than enough heat to melt the cheese, especially when enclosed in a small box trapping the heat around it. So either the temperature cheese melts at is waaaaaaaaaay higher than i thought (apparently 130+), or the patty wasn't being kept at a proper temperature.

And if anyone questions my story I posted a picture of the burger to Google maps and tagged it...

Normally this McDonald's has fast, friendly service, relatively good food, and usually does a good job on accuracy, but they need to step up staff training at this location.

I come here maybe once every couple of months for breakfast. A couple of months ago, I ordered a Sausage Mcmuffin with Egg, with an extra sausage patty. They rang me up for a "Morning Mac" - that's the name that came up on the screen, so I Googled that and found out that's the term for a Sausage Mcmuffin with Egg, with an extra sausage patty.

So, this morning, I pull up to the drive thru and order a "Morning Mac" and the guy says, "Uhh, a what?" I explained what it was and he rang me up for a Sausage Mcmuffin with Egg - at normal price - and then an additional sausage patty. So, even though there is a menu item he can ring me up for, he wasn't aware of it, and I was charged more than I would have been had he rung it up correctly.

Yeah, it's only a dollar or so. But if that happens with 100 customers...well, you get the picture. It's the principle of the thing.

I may drive a little further to the other McDonald's in Maple Valley next time to see...
