asian fusion’s boat noodles are AMAZING. they beat out the local favorites, including friend’s cafe which is right across the street. unfortunately we found a couple of bristles from a steel cleaning brush in our boat noodles, making me wonder just how many i’ve unknowingly eaten. that turned me off, but i can’t deny how good the noodles are. the broth is nice, thick, and flavorful. i don’t have to add anything to the broth (which is realllyyy impressive) besides something to spicen it up. the beef is quite chewy; the dish would be a perfect 5 if the meat was more tender and didn’t have as much of a gamey taste (personal preference). i really only come here for the boat noodles and the sweet asian crepes. they taste warm and homemade and are the perfect way to end a meal. the interior of the restaurant is very pretty, but it is located in a rundown area. so just a heads up, you may come across a homeless person chilling in front of the restaurant, asking for change from passerby’s during the warmer seasons like i did. not the most presentable, but it’s whatever because that’s just how the area is. i haven’t tried anything else on the menu but it includes standard southeast asian cuisine, hotpot, and seafood boil! i’m interested in trying some of the other food items next time i come here. i like how the servers don’t bother you as you eat as well. they had great timing and were attentive without...
Read moreDon’t be discourage about the location and local environment outside. If you look beyond that, the variety of food options and service is awesome. The sauce condiments on the table has many to choose from and your water cups are served in quarts size jar with wedge of lemon in it. Plenty of water to replenish during your dine in. LOL! My family and I had and tried out their spring rolls, steak dinner, khaopoon, crawfish, crispy pork belly stir fry, papaya salad and Asian crepes, and boy flavors are spot on. I wouldn’t consider the best in the world, but good enough from the heart of a home. My son loves crawfish and these babies were jumbo size craw daddy, which impressed my son a lot. For my husband, the steak is probably not the best like “Best Steakhouse’s” steak, but enough to fill his steak thirst. And, I’m a big fan of noodles and their kapoon was delightful, savory, hint of spiciness, herby and creamy completed my fill. Please note, their spring doesn’t come with noodles, it’s all veggie and meat. But come two different sauce one creamy peanut flavor and the other is a sweet and sour spicy (non spicy to me) sauce. Their papaya salad had two sauce style Lao or Thai to pick from. I like my papaya salad Lao style, has more fermented crab/shrimp/fish flavor to it vs the Thai style has a lighter taste to it with less or no fermented fish or crab/shrimp sauce. Would I go back? YES,...
Read moreOrdered pick up. Not bad inside, maybe a little cramped though. Staff seemed nice, but this review is really about the food. I ordered pork belly fried rice. Online it made me select a protein, so I selected veggie. It came without pork belly. I could have lived with that, because the rice was actually good, but the level 2 spice (1-5 scale) fried rice was super spicy. I can handle heat, and this was just too much. I also ordered "beef" phô. There were two types of meat, some sort of steak and some greyish circular things that were utterly awful. The phô didn't come with any sauce to add to the broth, or jalapenos. It felt a little slapdash. The broth was fine but I'd be shocked if it were made in house. I also ordered moo ping, flavor was decent, but the meat was a little gristly. A pretty low quality cut of meat. The grey beef medallions, the lack of protein, and the rice being too spicy all together made some acceptable food a bit of a bad experience. I'd guess the heat level 1 fried rice is actually good, but I'd be reluctant to order...
