My hopes were high for this resteraunt. It had the highest ratings for local Thai food.
Upon entering it seemed a very small dining area, and completely empty. I spent a few hours here to give it a fair assessment.
The lady working the counter is very good. For some reason she was alone, answering the phone, handling diners, takeout, Doordash, Uber eats, etc. I was getting stressed watching her. Other diners came in, and no one got the follow up they should have had.
I ordered the chicken satay, massaman curry with beef, peanut curry with pork, and pad see eew with beef. All these dishes were well presented and tasty.
I had my usual iced thai coffee. Very good.
For dessert I had to flag down the front lady. She had already given me my bill and never asked if I wanted another beverage or dessert. I attribute this to her being alone, which should never happen in any resteraunt which hopes to stay above water. I hope today was an anomaly.
The sticky rice with mango was not eatable. The glob or rice had eliminated too much, possibly was made several days ago. The coconut milk nearly absent. The mango was over ripe and stringy. Possibly the worst dessert I have had in a Thai resteraunt.
The resteraunt was reasonably clean, though detail cleaning is needed next to the booths above the wainscotting. The table tops were very sticky. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, but very crowded feeling (I was alone, I refer to the floorplan).

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a lover of Thai food and my fiance was in the food service delivery industry for many years supplying various restaurants all over the Twin Cities Metro area and got to see behind the scenes. This has caused him to be very picky about the places that he chooses to eat at when he eats out. Over the years he became pretty knowledgeable about produce and meat. As well as able to discern the quality and freshness and this caused him to be even pickier about the places he eats out and where he shops for food to eat at home. That being said we both love this place! He loves the Drunken Noodles with Beef or Pork. I love the Pad Thai with Chicken or Tofu. He was very impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients here and I have to agree. We used to live nearby so we always ordered take out. We moved away from the neighborhood a few months ago so next time we eat there we will probably dine in. I'm looking forward to it because we love the food and the take out service has been fast and friendly. The place is simply decorated, clean and cozy. I will update my review after the experience. Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I have ordered and picked up, eaten there, and did amazon delivery for Thai Street.
Eating there: glorious! If you have kids they have high chairs with the safety straps and they clearly wipe them out between kids because there was no rice/sauce/mystery stickiness when I used it. They provide each table with a toy which my toddler loved and it really kept her quiet. They donāt have a proper change table but they do have like a makeup counter. I put the plants on the floor and changed my child there. Itās a bit narrow but it works. The dining room is clean, modern, has great lighting, and cozy. They serve the food promptly and answer questions to help you know what youāre ordering. Also my waiter NEVER set down food in front of my toddler and served all hot items from the side so it was never over my childās head (which matters to me because I think itās safest). Food is the best Thai Iāve ever had and the prices are great.
We love the mango salad extra spicy, peanut curry, and tbh thatās all weāve ordered because itās been so good.
I absolutely love Thai Street and it is a staple for...
