This this is a classic, old-school, local diner. If it were 1985, it would look the same. That is a great thing for most of the patrons who appreciate the fast service and classic diner specialties. Two things that have become popular since the 80s that I wish they would have adopted, one, some form of egg white omelette because some people can’t eat egg yolks anymore. And second, thing such as like lemon for iced tea or water would be really great. But, their core food menu is what diners expect and they attract a regular local crowd. It’s a benefit to downtown maplewood, to have a classic old diner that still plays music from a CD jukebox. Tiffany’s is small, with only counter seating, so it’s hit or miss whether you’ll get a seat, but typically one will open within a few minutes. I’ve never had to wait for more than 5 min in the last dozen times I’ve visited. Once you sit down, you will be greeted by the most genuine people and served a comforting meal for a great price. Their fresh hash-browns and cured in-house corned beef hash are must-haves. You’ll also get a great cup of coffee here.
Cash only, but there is an ATM inside. Be sure to flip through the juke box and play some tunes. Don’t be afraid to talk to your neighbors or chat with the staff. You’ll be sure to meet some interesting folks.

Read moreRight out of the pages of a 1950 magazine, this tiny retro counter diner takes me back. A dozen stools line the well-worn counter, and locals discuss their upcoming home projects. Your food from a basic breakfast and burger menu comes on that familiar oval plastic plate, and the waitstaff is fast and hometown friendly. Pocketbook friendly. As an added plus, the bathroom is fashioned as a British phone cabinet, but it's not that spacious. Overall, worth the trip just to experience! (Note in the photo: my burger came replete with a Bob Ross happy little smiling bun... made my day!)...
