This place is a new favorite of mine, and I'll probably spend quite a bit of money here over the next few months, if not years. The store: The atmosphere was very relaxed and casual, and the store itself was clean. There wasn't much in the way of decoration, but that actually helps to make the place feel more warm and welcoming, like going over to a friend's house. The owner and his wife, who are the only current employees, are both rather nice people, and know what they're doing. It's also relatively quiet, so it's a nice place to be with a book, which can conveniently be purchased from the Bookmans three shops over.
The menu: At the moment, they only have one type of coffee bean on hand, but they plan to expand into other beans soon. They offer the standard that is drip coffee and cold brew, as well as espresso and the related drinks of cafe americano, latte, and cappuccino, and when they get better beans for it, they have equipment for pour over coffee. They also have a small, but rather nice variety of teas on hand. The coffee is of high quality, as are other items on the menu. When I was there, I had what is probably the best cappuccino I've had in the last three years. What makes it even better is that if your drink is for there, they have stoneware and glassware cups for the hot and cold drinks respectively. The scones, which come from a local bakery, are delicious, especially the blueberry lemon.
What sets it apart? For one, Crema's drinks are served without sugar in them, and have sugar, as well as simple syrup for cold drinks, on hand to mix in yourself to taste, that way you get just as much sweetener as you want. I don't care for sugar in my coffee, but having the option to do it myself, rather than request a number of portions of sugar like most other places do is a far superior choice, especially since they have simple syrup for cold drinks, meaning that you don't have to deal with those sugar crystals just sitting at the bottom of your drink. They also don't charge as much as their competitors, with most of their drinks costing 3.50, and extra espresso shots costing only a dollar extra, though ordering just an espresso costs 2.
The only thing I would want would be more options for coffee and, as they're working on that, nothing else...

I walked in to Crema Coffee this morning with low expectations, having in the past few months been traveling in California and had no luck with coffee shops. One of them even being their own roasting company. But it's okay, not everyone is on the ball all the time. But not Crema Coffee, they were on the ball like nobody's business. I ordered a shot of espresso and a cortado. The staff was more than happy to take my order and I was maybe a little too excited when I saw what coffee they were serving (Mexico, Chiapas San Carlos). Not only do they get their coffee roasted locally by Exo Coffee they prepare a delicious espresso. It had a thick crema, very smooth and creamy, with a bit of a tartness like grapefruit. Very delicious. I hope to be back very soon, thanks again to the amazing...
Read moreEverything about this place is perfect, service and atmosphere wise. The barista was also super chill, super cool guy. My friend and I ordered a vanilla cold brew and a vanilla matcha with oat milk. The vanilla cold brew was 👌👌👌, seriously delicious. The matcha was meh; it wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t something I’d order again. I wish instead of a premade syrup or premade whatever it was he used, I wish he’d just taken a few minutes to make it proper. I do get that it can be busy and maybe that’s more convenient but I’d have waited much longer than I did (which was not long at all) for a fresh matcha instead of out of a bottle. With that said though, the guy took his time and everything perfectly with what he had.
