Update to my last post. I gave this place 1/5. But Sebastian has given me reasons to rethink this! He gets a 5/5. We came back bc my daughter missed the smoothies and he is usually there the days we are. He is always extremely polite, super fast, very helpful, and makes an awesome product. Even when I hear him with the other employees he is kind and considerate. This guy deserves recognition!! Thank you Sebastian for taking care of all of your customers!!
I was shaking after visiting the store today. I have worked in food service for almost 30 years and have owned 3 businesses personally. I order there at least once a week on the app and the staff is usually awesome. Today was a completely different story. They lost my order (no problem), but then bc my original order and my new order were on the app I was charged twice. Again, no problem. They can see that I was getting one smoothie and wanted to pay for one smoothie. Well, that wasn’t the case. I was told that I must have ordered two smoothies at two locations. And I was to go pick up the smoothies 20-25 mins away. I said I only want one smoothie and I only want to pay for the smoothie that I am getting. Then the associate that was bringing my order to the drive-thru window (to the associate that I had been speaking with) told me that I was probably giving the original gentleman an attitude when we were explaining the problem. Ummmmm??? WHAT? I had my 7 year old in the car and go there every week. There was absolutely no reason to give anyone an attitude. I just wanted to pay for the smoothie that I was buying. I was told that the manager was on vacation (bc I said I would just ask for a refund or credit) and they couldn’t help me or give me a refund. They said they couldn’t do anything for me and offered no solutions. They said just call the store (Ina and Thornydale). UMMM????? I was at West River Drive. That was not my location. And they told me if I called their location that it would go to a call center. When they initially told me to call the store I said “I’m at the store and no one here can help”, they said the call would go to a call center. (Later I found out that it didn’t and it was fun for them to answer and hang up on me). Then, the second worker That had come with the smoothie said that he was doing me a “favor” by giving me back my money. I showed that I was charged twice on my credit card (again showing proof) and wanted to show them on the app, but it was “thinking”. So, after receiving tons of nasty nasty nasty comments about what a horrible person I am, (as I just closed my mouth so they could belittle me in front of my kid.) I was allowed to have my daughter’s smoothie and my refund from the second smoothie. (My daughter was in tears Bc she had just had surgery and this was the only thing she had asked for.) I was also told (as I was belittled in front of my child) that I must have ordered from a second location again before leaving as an insult! Bc they hadn’t already saidthat to me??? Let me assure everyone that I have only purchased from this location ever in my life and it is saved in the company’s app. So, I guess it’s ok to treat customers horribly. I know I don’t spend thousands there a year there, but customer loyalty should mean something. I will never go there again. And my daughter loves our trips there. Never again. They treated me like scum and a thief. And said horrible things to me in front of my 7 year old for a smoothie. I can take my $500 a year and spend it...
Read morePOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Love the other two locations in town. I love to take my kids for a special treat. Cost adds up when we go too often so I order a large and ask them to put it in two cups to save a few pennies. Other locations are really friendly and happy to do that. This location refuses. They'll put it in a large cup and give me an extra small cup. First time that happened I ended up spilling smoothie in my lap. It was a total mess. I emailed corporate. They apologized and said they'd contact the store. Went back again yesterday. They said they wouldn't do it. I said then I'd cancel my order so they said okay, they'd do it. Got to drive up window and same person from first time told me he talked to the manager and they won't do this again. He said I'm, "Playing the system." Kind of ironic since I bet they would make one large smoothie in one container then split it in two cups and charge me like they made two individual smoothies. So, I won't be going back to this location. I go to places with friendly customer service. I go to places that are glad to see me come back frequently. It's really poor business policy to haggle customers over a few pennies. They're losing out on a lot of sales. (Remember the adage, "Penny-wise, pound foolish.) I'll stick to the other locations and they can get the profits this locations doesn't seem to want. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but my daughter only drank about 1/4 of her smoothie. Read moreMy experience today wasnt at all the greatest. I've become a somewhat frequent smoothie king goer and love their coffee activator. I'm very dissapointed however with staff. I ordered my small activator. The promotion was to pretty much get a Medium for a cent more. Awesome promotion, but for a personal trainer like myself or anyone in general who understands the importance of calorie intake and goals it's something we need to watch. The smoothie was great but the SUPER RUDE guy who took my order and made my smoothie gave me a medium. I insist that I get a small because knowing me I'll drink the whole thing. He says "You told me you wanted the medium but whatever man" and has the biggest attitude. Doesnt at all apologize and talks over his shoulder to tell his manager to "Handle This." I told the rude worker that it isnt about the money, it's about what I'm taking in. He then told me "Whatever bro, I'd just take it." Now Kyle was actually very nice. He explained the difference in money and listened to my explanation atleast showing some sort of customer service problem solving. I'm hoping that smoothie king reps read this and reach out in some way. I recommend smoothie king to any of my clients after a workout. All I ask is a friendly interaction and people who care about each individuals goals wether it be weight loss or gain.
