Tonight we ordered online for curb side pickup. When we notified them we had arrived we proceeded to wait 20 minutes for the food. Only had a burger with onion rings and two sundaes. When I went inside they were bagging up my food and proceeded to state that a rush had just started. The whole time I was there I only saw 3 vehicles in the drive thru come in at a time and nobody was dining in it seemed. Normally I would not write a review and hope for better service in the future. But this has become a regular thing, no matter the time of day, if I order online, inside, or at the drive thru. On top of that, every time I order a sundae they give it to me all melty. I took this picture at home but I only live a few minutes away (this doesn’t happen when I go to DQ which is further away). This tells me they probably make the ice cream while someone in the back is cooking orders and the ice cream sits until my order is ready to go out. I really enjoy the food but it is still fast food and should not have to consistently wait a prolonged period of time for it, especially when I receive it in sub-par condition in the form of melty ice cream. I will say the workers are friendly and have never been rude, they are either understaffed or just not efficient. Having said that I suspect poor management is the cause as it does seem like the workers are trying to roll orders...
Read moreWe used to love going to this culvers but the last few months it seems to have really gone downhill. I don’t know if it’s under new management but of the last 5 times we went, only once was the wait under 30 minutes. Twice they had to remake it because they gave us the wrong order and then we had to wait even longer. What takes 10 minutes to prepare when ordered in the drive through apparently takes 25 to prepare if you have to ask for the food you ordered. I’m not talking about wrong customizations, just wrong food. I waited 20 minutes after they gave me the wrong order with a hungry baby in the car and they kept telling me my food was almost ready. Remakes are placed at the back of the line even though it was the restaurant that made a mistake and nothing is done to make up for the inconvenience (yknow like prioritizing it or even just a coupon or something). Eventually I had to ask for a refund and the manager took her sweet time with that as well. We kept saying “one more try, we’ll give it one more try” and the new management keeps disappointing. We even tried ordering ahead online but they “didn’t see” the order come in and put it in the back of the line once I showed up 20 minutes after placing the order. First - order was wrong. I got a double cheeseburger when I only wanted a single. The double burger was tepid in temperature, the patties were mismashed together and falling off the bun, grease was everywhere.
Husband had the extremely small fish sandwich which was the fish (he said it was hot), lettuce, and tartar sauce. That's it for $12+
We order fries with our orders and we each ordered a milk shake. The total bill was over $31! That's quite a bit for subpar fast food.
The biggest complaint and disappointment were the shakes. Both shakes were basically colored milk - like someone forgot to put in the ice cream. The chocolate was not chocolate but you could drink it like chocolate milk. The strawberry shake I had was not strawberry in any way shape or form - or than the bits of strawberries at the bottom of the glass where someone had obviously forgot to put in the ice cream and blend the thing up. Horrible!
The other thing we noticed is that this place does a bang up drive through delivery/order service. Unfortunately, they have so many the workers cannot keep track of what car has what order. Saw that first hand.
