I was part of a large group. We sat at two different tables on the patio. The food was pricey. They had discontinued their specials. I ordered the Chicken Tenders and fries for $10. The waitress gave me the option to order onion rings without telling me there was an extra charge of $2. They were large, very greasy and they really didn't have the strong flavor that onion rings are known to have. When the bill came, the prices were not itemized, like they should be. Just lumped together as one, for $12. I thought they overcharged me erroneously.
The Chicken Tenders had a good flavor but were EXCEPTIONALLY greasy too. I ended up peeling most of the fried batter off and leaving it with the rest of the onion rings. Many friends enjoyed their meals. I'll be sure not to order that again. You get what you pay for, I guess.
The waitress for the two tables of 8 each, was new and very slow. The first table of 8, was given their food 15 minutes before our table! When they were done, they all left while we were still waiting for our checks. It was a ridiculous time to wait! When the patrons start craning their necks, looking for their checks, it's been too long!
The checks had a surprise I wasn't expecting either. The restaurant had added a mandatory 18% tip on to each of our checks for the waitress, due the size of our table. Nowhere on the menu was that disclosed where it was noticeable. The manager didn't point it out later when asked either. I ended up paying $15 for sub par, greasy food. I could have eaten at Lucky Wishbone and been much happier, for less!
A tip is something I give out of thanks for good service, as a type of reward. When it becomes mandatory, that's extortion. My time is valuable. I wasted at least 15 minutes longer, waiting for my food (after the first table was served), and another 20 minutes waiting for my check! Granted the waitress was new, but perhaps she should have been given more help, or had the tables split between 2 servers.
We were there for 90 minutes! Most of it was waiting. The sun goes down early. Despite cutting way back on time spent at Home Depot, Costco and Safeway after lunch, I ended up driving home in the dark that day. I live...
Read moreWanted to try someplace new but it failed miserably. We walked in and nobody greeted us, after a minute or two of standing someone finally said we can sit where ever we like and it was busy so I was very forgiving of this. We grabbed a table and were given menus andan order of drinks was placed within 10 minutes. We got our drinks and placed our food orders. After an over an hour drinks were finished and someone grabbed our empty glasses not making eye contact and holding a conversation with familiars at another table and did not ask if we would like another drink which I would've gladly ordered while we waited on this busy friday. Slightly confused I waited patently for someone to approach and get more drinks or an update on the food but then saw that multiple tables that had arrived after us already had their food. I wanted to just walk out but my date walked to the bar and paid for our 2 drinks and we left. The same gentleman that took our orders did not even acknowledge we placed food orders or ask why we were leaving before eating? I don't know if it was an off day for the employees or maybee they were short handed but whatever it was lost customers and inspired me enough to rate this business poorly for the lack of attention to their customers. it seems if your not a regular here you dont...

Friday night, 7:10pm. Patio was full but grabbed the last table. Inside was empty. It was a nice night outside. So 10 tables, most were already eating. Waited 10 min for someone to ask for a drink order and drinks came fast and placed our food order at 7:25. We ordered three appetizers and a salad to share. Waiter disappeared. 45 min later I grabbed a waitress walking by. She asked what we ordered and said the kitchen was having problems. That was a lie. People who walked in 20 min after us were eating. Turns out the guy who took our order went back to the kitchen to help them but when I got the final bill I saw the order time. He had placed the order at 7:25. We finally got food at 8:20. Quesadillas, fried zucchini, fried shrimp and a Cobb salad. Super fast to make. I was not happy, but the food was so good, I stopped being mad. My husband had Long Islands and he is very picky and he loved them That is rare for him. The check came and they gave us 15 percent off but then I had to go back inside and track down the waitress after waiting to pay the bill. She was behind the bar. Normally I would never go back with such bad service, but the food and drinks were so good I'll give them another shot. Date of visit: March...
