DON'T EAT HERE
Two Seniors, an Adult and two Children, x3 waters, an ice tea and a soda almost $95.00 after tipping at the table $10 we had dropped $105 for really bad substandard subpar slop. After the initial shock of the cost of admission came the real shock of literally how bad BARFfet food can be. We weren't expecting great food, but it was shockingly bad. I normally like golden corral, but this particular establishment is a colossal loser on all fronts. To be polite, this food was a culinary insult, a professional embarrassment to anyone claiming to be capable of cooking. Numerous trays of low quality crappy food ingredients devoid of any substantial flavor drowning in unhealthy oil. The food was unappetizing and extremely unappealing. We truly felt deliberately , willfully and intentionally institutionally cheated out of good money for really bad food. The food was warm but noticeably not anywhere close to hot as required for food safety. The restrooms (both) were poorly maintained and were beyond disgusting. I seriously question when they were addressed last. When l addressed my restroom concerns to a staff member, l was rudely dismissed with abundant indifference. When l advised the girl in the desert area of the ice cream machine not working properly, she made a fist and smacked it around until it produced ice cream. Her ability to effectively beat the machine into submission highlights the frequency of it's poor operation. I selected a piece of streak that was so chewy it wasn't worth eating, the sausage was so greasy that it was equally inedible. The food was total garbage. Overall we felt cheated on price, cheated on quality and cheated out of a what should have been a pleasant dining experience. The girl who managed our table was excellent and really delivered outstanding table service, our drinks never suffered from inattention. This is not an establishment that I'll ever be returning to nor is it an establishment that l would ever recommend visiting. You know it's beyond bad when even a 6yr old child complains about how disgusting the food is. The idea of eating here is a really bad idea, go eat anywhere but here. Rather odd how the previous negative reviews have been responded to with glowing assurances of addressing the quality issues, yet from what I observed nothing ever changes.

Not to be critical but your lame response is rather disingenuous. Rather then direct me to your website so you can "look into the matter" why didn't you just open your eyes, wipe away your crocodile tears of shocking concern, see the problem, accept responsibility for it and try harder to do your best Vs. accepting mediocrity as your desired goal in life by offering...
Read moreSo based on my experience I would rate this one star however I still have fond memories of this place which is why I did not decide on one star. I have not been to Golden corral in what feels like ages. However, I used to like it as a child so I decided to take my family there for lunch. The experience was honestly completely different. From what I remember as a child there were no friendly faces, no smiles, which would have been fine had the waiters and waitresses been attentive and competent at the least. We had to ask for a refill multiple times and lo and behold our server brought our drinks to the wrong table which I would normally take as an honest mistake. However, this happened twice and no apology or accountability or anything. Just a subtle laugh and finally our drinks after the third time we asked. Also, a major issue was the food, I'm not sure if it could have been just the time that we happen to go, which we ended up going at 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon but the food was terrible. Definitely not how I remembered it. Everything was pretty much stale and there were little to no servings even after sufficient time, which I consider it to be 30 minutes for a buffet. I understand there's a lot of people eating at all times and constantly getting food But again, this is no excuse. I don't often make bad reviews on everything, if anything, I make good reviews on places that I give second chances to. Who knows, I may try this place again in the late future and then update my review But for now, this place definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I also want to add that this review is not a reflection of the restaurant as a whole. Everyone's experiences could have been different from my family and I. It's just for me personally I feel a lot of things in terms of quality and I'm not just talking about the food, Quality of employees has gone...
Read moreWent there being a party of 5 for dinner (paid over $100) at about 7:30 PM when driving from California to El Paso (probably blame is on me too since they were eager to leave but I believe they close at @ 9:00 PM although they happily took my money rather than telling us "we are about to close"). Thing is food was cold and service null and disrespectful. I was into getting a steak, but the guy in charge of grilling was not present to provide service. Guy had to be chased after to light on the grill and start cooking. Told me to wait 15 min to get me the steak. Then coming back he told me someone else took it in my instead and that I had to wait another 15 min. Kind of pissed off, walk back on next try for my steak and he hadn't even put the steak on the grill (i guess hoping I would give up). When he tempted me to wait more time I said I would like to talk to the manager to rather get my money back and go somewhere else. I really regret crossing words with their manager since the experience just worsened. She could not be more careless about the service and the business they do and the people she oversees. She didn't wear a name tag and when requested for her name to talk with someone one level up, she did not provide it (someone that perceived what happened whistled her name Tina to us), she even got offended and challenging. Asked us to leave but reluctant to get our money back. One aggressive guy listening to our argument wanted to jump on me physically in front of my 9 year kid, wife and nieces but she stopped him (only thing she did right). These people really need training on customer service or hours reduced if they are fatigued, stressed, or exhausted. Really recommend to stay away from this business. No wonder why these kind of places are going out...
