Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Marana

I love this Papa Johns, they always make my pizza and sides just right. So the reason I leave a 3 star review is because they no longer have a delivery driver, they use a 3rd party like Uber Eats or Door Dash (I do forget which one it was), without telling you BEFORE you place the order. I'm 100% uncomfortable having some random 3rd party person deliver my food, rather than someone who works in this physical facility. The person was 30 to 45 minutes late with my food, thank god it was still hot. It was like the person was taking actual Door Dash/Uber Eats orders before delivering my pizza, because their little dasher Icon was just sitting in an adjacent neighborhood. The person was texting me they will be here soon at 15 or 20 minutes, but then 15+ more passed. think the thing that grosses me out the most though, is that well yes the pizza is in a Papa John's Pizza bag the driver uses, they don't tape the boxes closed. So literally this random driver could just get into your food and you don't even know. I would be so much more comfortable if there was someone in store delivering my food. Someone with an actual boss, who knows them. Someone who could get in trouble for touching my food. I have an autoimmune disorder, so i cannot be having some random 3rd party person in charge of my food. I will most likely not be ordering take out from Papa Johns again if they continue using a 3rd...

We have ordered pizza approximately 5 times from the location on Thornydale and Ina in Tucson, AZ. Each time, the cheesesticks arrived old and hard. Tonight, we called after we placed an online order and specifically asked that they make an effort to deliver us hot and fresh cheesesticks. The representative was rude and told us they were too busy to ensure that we would receive hot food and that they we should expect a 1.5 hour delivery time. We called our local Pizza Hut and they said they were delivering in 30 minutes so we placed an order with them. We called to cancel with our local Papa Johns. The representative argued with us, and told us our pizza was already in the oven. We pointed out that we had just placed the order 10 minutes ago, and that they were on a 1.5 hour delivery delay and that would have guaranteed we would have received stale, old pizza. She was argumentative and rude. She said there was nothing they could do to make sure we received fresh breadsticks. She hung up on us when we said we wanted to...

So I ordered a pizza from this location and I will say at first I was unhappy. But it was only due to my pizza not having the pepperoni that I thought it should have had. Which at the end of the day was my fault (I based it off the picture and not rhe oder form). Anyway I went back to the location and the manager was very nice to me as I was to her explaining my mishap. Long story short she and her very nice crew which may have included the owner ( he was the only one with a blk shirt which made believe this is a franchise) remade my pizza and it came out great. The customer service I experienced at this location was above a 10. Will definitely continue buying pizza...
