I really wanted to like this place & support a small business.
The incredibly young, and inexperienced staff with no guidance on site is likely the cause of the problems I encountered. They were friendly and working hard, they likely just need more support.
I ordered a chai and pastry for here and a sandwich to go and paid cash. The cashier struggled to provide or figure out change, and asked if I had credit because he canât add a tip, even though they have a cash tip jar.
My tea was given in a to go cup, not the end of the world, but it tasted like they burnt the milk.
While waiting a few other customers said their lattes tasted burnt.
The pastry was perfectly cooked and delicious. Hats off to the baker.
When I went to pickup my sandwich it smelled heavily of meat. I specifically asked for it without meat, as Iâm both vegetarian and Jewish, but Iâd like to think they wouldâve been extra careful around this time due to Lenten for many Christianâs.
When I let them know of the error, they took my bag back and handed it back quickly. Not enough time to re-make an egg sandwich. So I opened it up and I could smell the meat and could see the outline where the Canadian bacon was prior. I asked if they just removed the meat and explained that wasnât acceptable to be touching the inside of my sandwich, to just remove it (what if I had an allergy?), and explained my situation.
They then made me another sandwich correctly but the bread and egg weee rubbery and bun greasy and overcooked and smashed (I think they re used the bun again) and I ended up tossing it on my next gas station stop.
When customers order things without something, it could be due to allergy, religious reasons, or dietary restrictions or choices. This needs to be taken seriously.
Iâd highly recommend someone with a bit more kitchen experience go in and teach them how to prepare food, how to fix mistakes, and how to make milk-based coffees or teas without burning the milk.
Since I paid cash, there was no hope to call and ask for a refund on my card for the sandwich, but Iâm hopeful the business takes this as an...
Read moreThe coffee was decent, the sandwiches were average. The reason this gets one star is the customer service.
My wife and I ordered two lattes and a rueben. There were two workers, one making the coffee and one trying to make food and take orders.
We got the coffee in normal time. It took over a half hour to get the sandwich. There had been at least 10 customers that had been waited on, some also ordering Ruebens a long time after ours was placed.
At one point, the girl making the food came and asked the barista where the corned beef was, only to come out minutes later and ask about the sauce.
When the sandwich was still not done after 10 more minutes, I went to the kitchen where I saw her making four sandwiches. She said âI have four sandwiches to make.â And I replied, âweâre the only customers who ordered a Reuben thatâs been waiting for 30 minutes.â She then finally brought out our sandwich before the others. Iâm not sure who trained her, but she clearly had no understanding of workflow or priorities in...

Now, letâs talk about the coffee: itâs out of this world! We tried the cold brew and a cappuccino, and both were absolute perfection. The cold brew was smooth, rich, and full of bold flavors, while the cappuccino had the perfect balance of velvety foam and robust espresso. Pairing our drinks with their blueberry baked good was the highlight of the visitâit was beyond great, with a perfect mix of sweetness and freshness that left us craving more.
