Read moreI love gelato and came here with somewhat high expectations after reading some of the more positive reviews and the owner's comments about how they make their own gelato. Unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. I ordered one scoop of pistachio and it was all icy and felt more like frozen yogurt than gelato. I was so shocked that I had to ask the lady behind the counter to confirm if she served me gelato and she did. It definitively was not gelato. It wasn't even ice cream. :( My kids had vanilla and chocolate out of which only vanilla was more akin to gelato and the chocolate while much better than pistachio, was more like regular ice cream than gelato. The store is nice. Not too crowded when we were there. I agree with other reviewers that $7.50ish for one small scoop of ice cream is unjustified. While price is subjective, this is the most expensive place in the entire area. Unfortunately, the price seems much steeper after you taste the product. I really hate writing this bad review because based on the owner's comments on google it seems to me like they genuinely care about the experience and the product. I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the negative reviews that right now this is not the place for good gelato. I hope the owners take the negative feedback seriously and look at it as an opportunity to improve both the product and...
Read moreI would give this place a sixth star if I could. There's no way my photos will do it justice (I couldn't even wait until after we'd started eating), but we got strawberry, mint chip, and rocky road in one large ($10) and banana Nutella, cappuccino, and peanut butter in the other large. Every single flavor was delicious. I'd recommend them all. However, if you just want one refreshing flavor, I'd say to pick mint or strawberry, as you don't really need both in my opinion.
The staff was also excellent. Everyone was kind and friendly to us, but the person scooping the gelato was the best. They were clearly knowledgeable on the flavors and recommended some of our favorites.
If I could make one recommendation to this fantastic establishment, it would be to offer flights!! $15 for 6 half-scoops would be perfect. There were so many other flavors I wanted to try, but there was no option for a flight. If there was, I would have gotten the flight while my husband got a two-scoop. So, to reiterate, in case it's not clear, the flavors here are SO good that not offering flights is a crime. Please consider...
