Their food isn't half bad for being generic Chinese food. Never had much of an issue until today.
Called to place an order for my sick fiance, she wanted some of their hot wonton soup.
Was informed there was a $10 minimum for deliver, which is perfectly okay in my book.
Proceeded to add a krab ragoon and a shrimp roll for myself. Was informed the total was $9.97.
I asked the girl if this was ok (She was extremely pleasant throughout the interaction.) and she stated it was.
About 2 minutes after we hung up, I received a call back from another lady who stated there was a $10 minimum and the first girl might not have known this. I informed her this was not the case, as the first girl had mentioned it, and I had gotten to $9.97 and told that was okay.
I was informed it's a $10 minimum before tax, and that before tax I was at $9.40. I canceled my order and went with Great Wall right up the street.
My problem here isn't the $10 minimum. I manage a restaurant in Miami that does a ton of deliveries. I understand the minimum requirement.
My problem here lays with the fact that I was called back to be told "Sorry, you didn't spend enough" over .60 cents after the transaction was completed. If the first girl had known this information I would have had no problem throwing on an extra shrimp roll or something (I did exactly this for my order with Great Wall).
I'm not saying you should avoid this place, as their food is good.
All I can say, is if you want to throw away a $10 order over .60, never mind the future orders I would have placed (I may not order there every week, but I do so once every other month roughly for the past 5 years), than that's on you guys.
Not like we have a lack of Chinese food options...
Read moreFirst time, so I started simple with honey garlic and a sweet n sour chicken for my guest, same style of chicken preparation in both dishes. Seems so simple yet makes or breaks an impression these dishes. The chicken was proper sized portion amd cut small, which is good, more surface area for a sauce to grab, and flavor, more fried surface area of chicken. The chicken had a flavor at least of salt which made it taste pretty good even without sauce. I dont like sauces to be too thin or too thick, I'd rather too thick than a sauce to be too thin, and this place satisfied my critique with this dish, sauce was great flavor and texture, chicken, and rice, great job. Was greeted immediately upon entering with a non generic feel. The hostess/cashier showed attention to detail how she explained to me that I ordered two dishes that are prepared basically the same way aside from sauce, just to make sure I knew that. So good customer service. First impressions are everything. I will remember this place when thinking chinese in north central Broward. Almost forgot to add.. GREAT FAIR PRICE$ On many dishes they have small med and large size...
Read moreStay away! Dishonest and cheaters. I called to place an order for food and wanted to get a couple of orders of chicken wings which per the menu are 8 wings per order. They wanted to sell them to me 6 wings per order but since I had the menu in hand they had to give them to me as per the menu description. When I arrived to there location to pick up my order, I noticed the total was higher than what it was supposed to be so when I did the math, they were charging me $1 more for each order of wings. Well, I had brought my menu which I had received at my door step a week ago and showed them they were charging me $1 more per order of wings and then they pulled out a menu of there own where they had written over with a pen on the price of the wings a $1 more. That they had raised the price a week ago! What a joke! If the food would have been above average maybe I would have let it slide but the food just that "Average". Like I said before, stay away and spend your money...
