This is the worst experience I’ve ever ever had. I’ve come here a couple times and ate in restaurant and my food was messed up twice for take out. First and foremost, they do not have a person that consistently speaks English when they do not speak English, so it’s hard to communicate with them. Originally the first time they messed up my order, they said I can come back and have it remade anytime since I live about 30 minutes away. I had an emergency and had to go out of town so when I came back from my Credit, the manager gave me a really hard time when the waitresses was communicating with the manager back-and-forth who wasn’t there she wanted me to bring my statement which I was showing to the waitresses I even show them a picture of when the food was messed up because I had pictures and the manager still did not honor it so I ended up paying for my food and I said don’t worry about it next time, The ladies that took my order, ended up, messing up my food and actually put in the wrong order and did not give me what I order which was the queso Mofongo and gave me churassco Mofongo I took a picture of the food and I called them right away and the guy who was working there spoke English and said we were very sorry. Don’t worry we’ll make it right and I said OK. I’ll come there next week because they were closing and I had a baby shower the next day to go to when I went next week for them to make my food, the manager did not approve the credit even with the pictures of the messing up my food, and the staff kept apologizing to me for how nasty the manager was, and the staff kept telling me how I was when I showed them all the proof I ended up paying for my food again, although they messed up my food again this is the worst service...
Read moreI’m currently visiting south Florida and was looking for a place to grab some great food that reminded me of being at home (I’m Dominican). Saw the reviews for this place so I figured I’d order take out (though I’m vaccinated some members of my family aren’t and didn’t feel comfortable dining in). Here’s a breakdown of why I rated this place the way I did.
Location: located in a small plaza with very limited parking. Pretty inconvenient for “curbside carry out”. had to park in a handicapped spot because you can’t just NOT park anywhere due to limited space of “plaza”.
Food: got the chicharrones de pollo and they weren’t fresh. You could tell they probably fried the chunks once and then just quick fried them again to get hot enough to serve. I ordered the pollo “al grill” and what I got was just breaded and fried chicken breast. I’m pretty fluent in Spanish and English so when you hear “al grill”, you hear.. grilled. But not too much of a biggie there because my kid ate it anyways. I will rave about their chinola (passion fruit) juice because it didn’t taste like it’s from concentrate. Didn’t receive any silverware, napkins or condiments for the meals. The advertised “pineapple filled Dominican cake” was not good. The cake was dense and the pineapple filling had a rancid aftertaste. I didn’t get my cassava (yuca) empanada at all; which I was looking forward to since most places only make the flour dough empanadas.
Service: can’t rate on that since I ordered online and the only interaction I had with an employee was the 10 second call to let them know I was there and the usual pleasantries when receiving my order.
Overview: probably...
Read moreHow sad it is to go there and not able to enjoy the food to the fullest, I have been going to this restaurant for over 5 years but the past year or so I have been having horrible experience with the staff members , walking in and having so much negative vibes, especially in the morning when usually for people starting their day should be the most enjoyable time. I even forgot the two waitress names. I have a job that deals with customers and I don't provide those negative vibes, I always leave my personal issues outside work premises. I believe that if someone doesn't have at least some type of passion on what they do for a living then do waste your time and try to find what you most enjoy, it's there, trust me. I kindly asked if I could have my coffee fill all the way and the waitress who I believe is pregnant immediately told me that it will be an addition cost, providing negative vibes and my family noticed that she was not having a good day or who knows if she treats people with thay attitude. I even tried to continue having a good morning along with my family and friends who I recommend to come with me this day and try the good food. Unfortunately they even felt that vibe/energy. Me and my wife decided to not continue going there or maybe just pick up food because the chef keeps doing a descent job in...
