This is a 3-part review for 3 seperate visits.
The first visit (10/12) was dissappointing from the get-go. My family and I choose to dine in after a long road trip. The entire order was missing items: (toast, water, coffee) not to mention that my scrambled eggs came with melted cheese on top and charged as an omelet. At the time, I didn't make a big deal as they were short staffed and my family and I were starving.
The second visit a few days later, we met up with family there (total of 4 in my party) and waited over 40 mins for our order to arrive which was confusing since there were only 3 groups in the entire restaurant who were dining in (total of 9), including ourselves. At that point, my family decided to simply get up and leave.
The third and final visit was about 3 weeks ago when I placed an order to go, and only received 3 meals out of 5. When I showed up to pick up the order, I even asked if the order was complete since the amount of bags were inconsistent. I was assured that they were complete as that the plates were designed to hold up to 2 meals per plate. Stupidly, I belived the staff member and left, after all I was sleep deprived and hungry since I had juat finished moving into a new place nearby. Once I arrived to my new home and began to hand out meals, I quickly realized that in fact, the entire order was incomplete as well as missing items on the meals that I did receive. I immediately called within 8-10 mins of leaving Denny's and complained about the situation and was offered to pick up the entire order all over again, at this point I was too exhausted to drive out again and instead was offered a refund. A refund that NEVER came through. It was at this point that I decided to simply never return to this Denny's ever again, and avoid recommending it to people at all costs.
It's unfortunate to have experienced this much terrible service since Denny's is our staple go-to place for meals on the road. Never had a negative experience with Denny's before until now. I won't stop eating at Denny's of course, but I most certainly will NOT go to this one.
As to "why" I even bothered to go a second time? Because I always give restaurants/businesses in general 3 tries before I decide to never shop/eat...
Read moreTaking into account the fact that it is a new opening the service was inexcusable. We placed an order on the app. It said 20minutes for pickup - perfect because we were trying to eat quickly before heading to Sun City for my aunts funeral.... well - my husband went to pick it up at the 20minute mark - unfortunately, he waited there more than FORTY MORE MINUTES. The manager kept saying just five more minutes... finally my husband told him you have five minutes then you can refund the order completely. Miraculously the food was out in that five minutes and bagged. Frustrated and hungry my husband came home with the food and we unpacked the bag to eat as fast as we could since we were now going to be an hour behind schedule.... low-and-behold more than half our order was missing!!!!! everything we had was cold not even remotely warm - we are 7minutes from their door to our door... I called the store and the manager that kept telling my husband 5-more minutes was not helpful. He offered to remake my order (no thanks, I don't have time), he offered to have me come get it next time we wanted it (no thanks, this has been enough of a disaster I don't care to go through this again). In his defense, I really don't think it's his fault because I'm pretty sure he's just a glorified server in the eyes of the "general manager" whom he said would be calling me back... it's now six days later and still no call from the general manager - who I've found out is actually the owner of the franchise.
to the "General Manager": YOU SIR/MADAM SUCK AT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. IF I DON'T HEAR BACK FROM YOU BY 5PM TOMORROW, FRIDAY, MARCH 30 I WILL BE CONTACTING MY BANK AND YOU WILL GET TO PAY A CHARGE-BACK FEE IN ADDITION...
Read moreWe've eaten here several times and we're pleased (despite a few kinks), but last night it was just awful.
We never had a waitress or waiter the entire time. After 10 minutes of sitting there, we stood up and the hostess came over and ended up gitting our drink and our food order. 10 minutes later a manager drops off a shake with no straw. He says, she didn't tell you? Way to own it... Go. To. Walmart. And. Buy. Some! I ate my shake best I could with a spoon.
45 minutes after ordering, we are trying to flag somebody down because we had to leave. I was hoping to put in a to-go order for a couple meals, but nobody ever came to our table the entire time.
It took them another 10 minutes to finish and box up the food, and they said they would give us a 50% discount because we were waiting so long and they thanked us for being patient. We get up to the front and it turns out to only be a 15% discount. At this point another couple got up from the table and walked out. The staff started making comments about them and how they had not been 'waiting that long'. I told the lady they had the wrong discount, and she insisted this was the right amount. My benevolent father tipped 20% and I looked at him and said "Who are you tipping? We never had a server." The cashier said if she had known, she would have waiting on us. Thanks.
We took our food and headed to the car. When it was time to eat, 30% of the food was missing. I am so disappointed in management right now. If you're really are trying to make it better, you need to make it worth it your customer. 50% discount is an apology. 15% discount for only 70% of the food ordered...
