The menu doesn’t specify what small, med & large are. Had we known we would have ordered appropriately. We ordered 2 small subs and they were almost $6.50 each after tax. They were really small, maybe 3 inches… sloppy and dry and took quite awhile to make considering it was empty in there and one was literally meat, cheese and lettuce. I asked about it and was met with snark and eye rolls by the employees. I got a snarky “sorry”. That’s what made me just want a refund. It was so snotty. They really didn’t care. The manager came out and I explained again. Instead of listening or even looking at the food, he says “I’m not going to apologize for how we do things here”. One minute he says they’re 4 inches…these were not 4 inches…then he says it’s approximate…so they can just do whatever and charge you for it? He was making a scene. I had already left all the food on the table and asked for a refund yet he’s continuing to go on and on and on making it even more uncomfortable to be there. Sayin stuff like he eats the same size and it’s plenty of food for him. He just wouldn’t stop! Instead of arguing with customers he could have just refunded me and moved on. I wasn’t trying to argue with him.I wasn’t trying to draw attention to myself. With drinks and those 2 pathetic sandwiches and a tiny bag of chips was $21 to be treated like that on top of it! I just wanted to get my money and leave. As someone who has worked food service half my life I found him extremely unprofessional, and inappropriate. I’ve eaten at some bad places in this town but this is the first place I’ve ever asked for a refund at. I will never go to another Firehouse location again. Not worth the money at all. No wonder it’s empty in there...

June 2024 - Another outstanding visit to the Maricopa Firehouse restaurant. Everything great with our to go order. Thank you.

April 2024 - We visited the Firehouse Subs location in Maricopa on a Wednesday night around 7:30 p.m. Our previous visits to this restaurant were underwhelming at best, but we decided to give them another chance. When we walked in, there was another couple ordering their food. Besides them, the place had no other customers. We ordered our food to go and had a seat while our meal was being prepared. My wife ordered a medium BBQ Cuban Sub and I ordered a large Chicken Parmesan Meatball Sub. The total for these two sandwiches with no chips or beverages was $26.72. My wife said that her BBQ Chicken Sub was good and she had no complaints. It was prepared by cutting the bread in half lengthwise and placing the ingredients in the middle. The Chicken Parmesan Meatball Sub was prepared more in the style of an open-faced sandwich with the chicken meatballs on the bottom, covered with marinara sauce and topped with melted Mozzarella cheese. I’m guessing that there was Parmesan cheese in there somewhere since it is in the name of the sandwich. I found it to be very tasty, however, it was messy to eat. Luckily, they gave us a couple napkins. Overall, the food was hot, fresh and delicious. It was pricey, but we were both full at the end...

As much as I love firehouse today they disappointed me big time! I called and ordered my food and they said 10 minutes and it will be ready. I go to pick up my sub 10 minutes later and when I go pay they said they were working on it. So I didn't mind waiting a few more minutes. I went to get some sauce on the side and sat down to wait for my order. More people came, ordered, paid and got their sandwich. I couldn't believe my sandwich was still not ready I had only order a sub and a side of mac cheese. I looked at the time on the receipt and 30 minutes had passed since I had paid! 30 minutes! I went to ask for my sub and the workers looked at each other and they had my sandwich ready in the back but Never called my name!! So I dont even know how long it had been back there for!! I mean I guess it was a bit my fault as well for not asking for my sub right away.. but I mean it's their job to let me know when my food is ready! So if I did not ask I was Never going to get my order??? thanks firehouse for wasting my time today and thanks for a cold sub and cold mac cheese when I got home. Idk when I'll go back there.. and if I do go I guess I gots to ask for my order every 5 minutes! You live...

Stopped in for a quick safe sandwich and they delivered! Back in Washington state we avoided this place like the plague! My wife, having a craving for a sub sandwich, caved and we tried it again, but in Arizona this time. They absolutely crushed it! Fresh meat, crunchy veggies and not swimming in sauces, just the way she likes it. I would have gave 5 stars if I hadn't had the occasional fly dive bombing me.

While Firehouse is my favorite sandwich shop, the Maricopa location has yet to have a takeout delivery done without waiting a minimum of an extra 15 minutes. What’s the point of having a pickup time if you’re going to wait an additional 20 minutes.
