We have always enjoyed this place until yesterday. We ordered food to go and right after we ordered and sat down to wait, a rush of customers came in. There was only one cook and one cashier that we could see. At some point we some some food sitting out waiting to be delivered to a table but the cashier continue to take orders while the food sat. After a point in time I wondered if it wasn't ours but we ordered ours to go and what was sitting there (now cold) was for dine-in. She finally delivered it to our table (25 minutes after we ordered it) and it was in fact the same order that sat out. At that point we may have decided to just eat it at the restaurant (even though it was cold) but simply could not because one of the employees had their kids sitting at a spare table and they were making so much noise we would not have been able to stay. The boys were playing Beyblade and if you're a mother of boys like me you know exactly how much noise was in that restaurant. Even my own 8 yr old son, whom was with me, thought it was too loud. None of the employees asked them to stay quiet for the customers. They then put our cold food in containers and we took it home. I've always thought this place was a bit overpriced but it is always good and we've always has a great experience until yesterday. As it was, we ate cold, overpriced food that took over 30 minutes to receive. I'm not sure that we will be back. I'm all for family restaurants but it's not a baby sitting service. Your kids should only be there if they are not being loud enough to make customers wish they were...
Read moreWe recently moved to Maricopa and have tried several Mexican restaurants here in town that honestly just were not that great. We had just about given up finding good Mexican food here in town when one weekend my husband discovered Francisco's Mexican Food while I was out of town . He went twice while I was gone because he said it was so good. He told me about it when I got back and wanted me to try it. I looked up the reviews and there were hundreds of 5 star reviews! I am really particular about my food but because my husband loved it...as well as hundreds of other customers, we went there for dinner tonight. The restaurant is across the highway from Frys..in the strip mall behind Panda Express. Walking in I noticed the restaurant was very attractive and clean with plenty of seating. The woman who greeted us was really nice and helpful answering all our questions about items on the menu. We placed our to go order. The prices were reasonable and the food was ready to go quickly. So far so good! We got home and everything was hot, fresh, good portions and the order had been filled accurately. After 2 bites I knew we had finally found our favorite Mexican restaurant in Maricopa! The ground beef tacos were so flavorful and the crisp homemade corn (flour also available) taco shells were perfectly cooked. The rice was amazing. My husband had ground beef enchilada with his taco and said it was delicious too. We loved everything! (Sorry no photos..we were too busy enjoying our food!!) If you haven't been here yet..you are really missing out...go...
Read moreMy daughter went in to buy some food and asked for a carne asada burrito with beans rice and cheese. Came home and when I was about to eat it, it only had beans rice and cheese. I called the place and the guy who answered remembered my daughter and stated she only asked for a bean rice and cheese burrito and kept going back and forth with me that that was what she said and gave me an attitude. He finally said "ok I can make you another burrito or give you your money back" I said I would like another and my daughter will go pick it up. He then proceeds with an attitude " I need the other burrito back, bring it back to me"
This is horrible customer service! I'm not here to get free burritos or anything like that but the attitude? What is the attitude for? I have no problem bringing the burrito back but have good customer service and say " ma'am I'm sorry I didnt hear your daughter correctly, what I can do is make another one for you and please bring the burrito back and sorry for the inconvenience" I never once talked to him with an attitude and I was understanding as I hoped he be but I guess they don't teach good customer service at this place.
Francisco's Mexican Food please train your...
