We have been here a few times before and the food, cocktails, and customer service kept us coming back but…last night my fiancé and I were in along with some family - a party of 7 total. Everything was fine, food was great, customer service was attentive, the bartender even made my sister in law a new drink when she didn’t like hers. My fiancé ordered a beer, the female bartender said “sure” and walked away. They got busy, we were all talking, and we never got the beer. The bartenders seemed to be avoiding our party all together, which was a stark change from the service earlier. My fiancé again ordered the beer with the same bartender who, once again, took his order and said she would get it. Again, we watched her not get the beer, serve other customers, and buzz around trying to stay busy. My brother in law paid the, I’m assuming, large tab (seven people, lots of food, several cocktails and beer). Only AFTER he paid (and left a tip) did a male bartender finally have the courage to tell my fiancé he was cut off and wouldn’t be getting the fourth beer he ordered.

I’m all for cutting people off and understand the bartenders need to do what they see fit (regardless of if we agreed with that) but have the courage to say that!! Don’t continue to take our order and never bring it - be an adult and tell your PAYING CUSTOMER you are not comfortable serving them. When my brother in law asked them about it, they said they “didn’t want to cut him off because we were such a large party”. Which, to me, sounds like “we want to squeeze as much money out the rest of you before anyone realizes we aren’t serving him.”

Again, several members in our party had been bartenders before so, we understand the bartenders need to do what they are comfortable with but…we went to three more bars after and no one had an issue serving anyone...

First, let me say Marietta Market has so many food options. Great place to go when your not sure what to get. The variety should provide something for everyone.

Let's start with parking. You can park right in front of the building for free with a 2 hour limit. There is additional free and paid parking in the area. Marietta Square has free street parking with no limit. It's a short walk just have to get a spot.

Forno Vero is front and center as soon as you enter the market. There is a large bar area where you can sit and have a drink, eat, and socialize or watch tv. They have a few flat screens in the bar area.

The menu is pretty straightforward. You can get wood oven pizzas, sandwiches, salads, or few other items. The main board shows charcuterie boards which they no longer offer. They have a printed menu by the cash register for you to view their updated menu. There are several wine and beer options at the bar along with cocktail options.

We got a Margherita pizza with pepperoni and a pepperoni pizza. Be careful when ordering because they do have personal size pizzas. Ask to see the difference in the pie sizes. We ended up switching orders because of this. Both pizzas were pretty good. Good flavor. Love the San marzano tomatoes just adds a really good taste.

Employees wore masks. Took my number to notify me when food would be ready. It was ready in about 5 minutes. I walked around to see what the other restaurants were offering. I would come back. Staff was very friendly and did a good job going over the menu and making...

I’m no pizza connoisseur, but when I see a pizza that looks saucy and cheesy, I expect to get just that. This place did get a Golden Spatula award and looked good in the videos I watched. To start, I know this is baked in a stone oven, but the majority of the pizza crust was burned as you can see in the pictures. It did have some basil on it, but its smell was drowned out by the smell of char from the crust. This pizza barely had any sauce on it and I didn’t taste much cheese. I ordered it with some pepperoni and if I didn’t get an overpowering taste of burned crust, it was the taste of the pepperoni that was pretty good. The crust is so dry and hard to chew you definitely want to take your time not to get choked on it. For a pizza close to $15, I feel totally ripped off as the majority of this pizza was just burnt, no sauce or cheese, and just a low tier pizza that has been overhyped. Out of 100, I’d...

The mushroom & broccoli pizza was YUM-O but got kicked up an extra notch when I took the goat cheese peppadew peppers & tossed them on top. Crust could afford to be baked just a touch longer but was delish nonetheless, I’ll definitely order again. The peppers were tasty but I was surprised to find them served cold despite looking like they had a char & were served in a cast iron skillet. Micro greens & balsamic reduction were a nice touch. The only thing that I probably would not reorder was the blueberry old fashioned type cocktail. It was lackluster. Overall, a great addition to the Marietta Food Hall!
