My family really enjoys the food from JJ's. We love their calzones and wings especially. Unfortunately we reached the end of our "give them one more chance" era after almost every order we've placed has been mostly wrong or missing something. We order online, so there is no miscommunication which can be blamed, and pick up ourselves. On the order before this last one they accidentally gave us a 3 meat pizza when we ordered a cheese. My husband was in the car when he checked the pizza. He had to go back in and wait on another pizza to be made while our wings, calzone and cheese bread became cold. They told us to keep the meat pizza, but it just ended up in the trash since we don't like that kind. (I would have taken it to the fire department but - COVID) The cheese bread ended up in the trash too since it did not come out right after I tried to reheat it. On our most recent order I ordered chicken wings. When my husband handed them to me in the car I could tell that they weighed less than what chicken wings would weigh. I opened them up and it was tenders tossed in wing sauce. After checking my online order verifying I did not press the wrong button I called and explained what happened. They guy working there asked "Do you want the chicken wings"?. Yes, I really did want what what I ordered. Once again all of our other items became cold while we waited for the wings to be made. I have tipped online before picking up my order so not only have they rarely gotten my order right, but they have also been tipped nicely for getting it wrong. I know that they do not realize that they get our order wrong every time we order from them, but they also have never offered us anything other than keeping the food we don't want and making us the correct food. Despite us liking the food typically only one person in our family gets to eat fresh food when we order from them so we are giving up. Maybe we will have better luck when we feel comfortable eating in the...
Read moreA great mom & pop NY pizza joint. My favorite is their stromboli. You get 3 toppings included. The pizza is great, it’s thin crust but not crunchy. I like crunchy thin crust, but I’m ok w just thin crust too. They also offer Sicilian and Chicago style pizzas. I haven’t had those though. I had their wings once before and they’re really good and a great price compared to other restaurants. Their salads are good but made with romaine lettuce, which I’m not a fan of. Tonight we ordered cheese knots with our delivery. They were so cheesy and dripping w garlic oil…yum!!! They said delivery would be 45 min to an hour. They got here in about 45 min and all of our food was hot, they even remembered the extra marinara I asked for. Oh, they’re marinara is rich and tasty, not overly sweet like Papa John’s.
If you eat inside, you can order by the slice. You order at the register and pay after you eat. It’s really chill and employees are friendly. Don’t expect high end furniture and fancy table clothes, it’s a true mom & pop place and very casual.
You’re also better off ordering over the phone instead of online…more options to order and it’s a...
Read moreBELIEVE the top notch ratings! This is, hands down, the best pizza you will find anywhere. The vegetables are garden fresh, and the meats are succulent and mouthwatering, especially the pepperoni. I’ve tried the pizza and calzones, and they are second to none. The wings, which I tried for the first time tonight, are nothing short of incredible. During my life, I’ve eaten at dozens of pizzerias in several states. For pizza to be this good, you have to know what you’re doing. The owner spends a great deal of time at the restaurant, which tells me that quality and consistency are of the utmost importance. Presentation is just as important, as they painstakingly prepare each dish. And, to top everything off, the prices are extremely reasonable. So, if you’re looking for an exceptional “pizza parlor” experience, with delicious food, great prices, and a family-friendly environment, stop by JJ’s. I live an hour away and have to fight traffic no matter when I visit, but the experience is well worth my...
