Fiance and I just moved to Marietta a few months ago. My best friend and her fiance drove 3 hours to visit us and unfortunately we decided to spend lunchtime at this deli. The woman working there was very unfriendly, couldn’t be bothered to smile or even be polite. We finished our meal and decided to check out the wine section and pick a few bottles to share. My friend had left his wallet at home so he couldn’t present his ID. I left mine in the car and she made me back to get it (street parking) wasting 10+ minutes of my time. In the end, 3 out of 4 of us could present our IDs, we are all the same age (23) and clearly so. She was rude when she told me to go get my ID from the car, she was rude when she told us she couldn’t sell because one of us couldn’t present his ID (he had left by that time). Funny enough, the customers right before us weren’t all made to show their IDs, even though they bought wine. As if a bunch of 23 year olds just want to hang out with a minor. You could tell she was excited to refuse to sell to us— she was on a power trip. Sad thing is, we’re new to the area and thought we found a nice spot, but now we will never be back. I was a cashier for 4 years btw and I never would have acted like she did. We went straight to another local shop and got our wine with no issue :) I wish we could get...
Read moreIf you like sandwiches AT ALL, you gotta try this place. I've worked at Subway in my youth and have tried a lot of sandwiches from so many different places. The only way you could get better is making it yourself, and you had better have the kinds of fillings they have here. That torpedo sauce is peak, can't be beat. Not to mention, the amount of food you get is astounding. The sandwiches are absolutely filled.
The staff there is fun and very attentive. They make the order process very simple, use a form to quickly check what you want and hand it over. They'll make your sandwich exactly how you want and call your name when done.
Then there's the shop, so many locally sourced and unique items sold, all for very reasonable prices. I highly recommend getting lunch and taking a look around. You'll definitely find...
Read moreI wish I could write negative stars for this place. The woman working behind the sandwich counted with the blonde hair and big glasses is so extremely rude and unprofessional and couldn’t even help herself but to make snide remarks and rude faces to her coworkers after we asked a few simple questions about the hot subs. She will treat you like garbage and if she’s having a bad day and she will take it out on you. These are not the type of people you need working in a customer service position. We were so offended we walked out without buying anything and will definitely never return to this location due to the poor service and behavior by this woman. Please hire...
