My wife and I and sometimes other extended family members have breakfast every Saturday at one of various restaurants in the Marietta/Kennesaw/Acworth area. We have our favorites that we frequent on a regular basis. But I check the maps and reviews often for a new spot to add to the list. I had seen Sessions Stand many times in my searches. But being traditional breakfast types - you know, eggs, bacon, biscuits, maybe grits and or toast - that sort of thing. And being traditionalists when it comes to breakfast, there is a bit of hesitation when choosing a place that serves food that we aren't familiar with. OK, yes, we are older, we like drip coffee with plenty of refills. But we are also adventurous. We travel to unique places and we force ourselves to venture out on the cuisine limb occasionally. And that applies to various types of coffee now available everywhere because of that Seattle company. I struggled with the menu, being a first timer. They have quite a selection that you review on your phone. You then place your order electronically. I should have asked more questions. Only after I had ordered did I see something I might have liked better. I can't recall what I ordered but I didn't care for it too much. I think it might have been a breakfast taquito or something like that. Oh, and I did order a Danish of some sort to go with it - which was good. My wife was happy with her fruit selection. And we did order drip coffee. We asked about refills and we were told that a refill is a separate order, so we added that. And I am not going to say I was annoyed - it's just different. We sort of expected that there would be a couple of hiccups for us. The menus - there are different ones for inside or outside tables - might take a moment to figure out. But we liked this place. We even hung around and sat on a couch and enjoyed the atmosphere. So yea, we'll be back, armed with the experience of that a 2nd time customer would posses! We'll be...
Read moreWhere do I begin…! I have so much to say about sessions coffee shop! Absolutely in love. The building and interior design is breathtaking from the moment you walk inside. The colors, the artwork, the gold accents, the vibes are immaculate! Love the multiple seating options both inside and on the outdoor patio! Inside you have so many seating options from couches to small sofas to large tables for groups. I was absolutely in shock and in love with their ordering system inside. On the large tables there are QR codes on each seating area that you scan with your phone to order and see their menu. How innovative! As an introvert and coffee lover, most traditional and corporate coffee shops have an ordering desk with the menu on the wall and you place your order with a server….like Starbucks. Ordering in line can sometimes be very overwhelming especially when visiting somewhere for the first time, and when you have people waiting behind you. So many menu options and you often have little time to see what you want to order. With this QR code we entered, chose our seating and had plenty of time to fully look at their menu online. Every drink, every pastry, every menu item. Everything is customizable and every menu item is itemized! You see the price of everything before placing your order. TRULY LOVED THIS!! We placed our order through the QR ordering and payed with Apple Pay! And don’t get me started on the food and drinks! Exquisite! Flavorful! Unique! Picture worthy! We had many drinks including a salted caramel latte, hot matcha latte, chai latte, strawberry latte! All so delicious! The food was also tasty! The pastries were very fresh and flavorful. Such a hidden gem in Marietta! Will absolutely be back for more! Support your small businesses that take the time and effort to make your visit memorable! Thank you sessions for such a...
Read moreThis was such a disappointing experience. The atmosphere and decor is absolutely stunning, and I had been wanting to visit for a long time, but we live about an hour away and we finally had time on our anniversary for a cute breakfast and coffee. The ordering and food delivery process is extremely confusing, and we were told to either order at the front window or through a QR code on our phone from the tables inside. I prefer ordering in person so I specifically asked if we order at the window, will the food and drinks be delivered inside where we are sitting. I was told yes, with an annoyed look by the employee at the window. We sat inside and waited patiently for about 20 minutes, when I started to see people who had just gotten there receiving their orders. I found the expo and asked if I had missed something and maybe we should have picked up somewhere else? She said no, there were a lot of orders and it was just taking a few minutes. I said okay, and just kept waiting another 10 minutes until another group had gotten their order as well. I found the original employee that took our order and she said “oh yeah you ordered at the window so it’s been waiting there for you”. The food was completely cold and my husband’s hot drink was obviously not hot anymore. She didn’t offer an apology nor to fix anything until I said his drink wasn’t even hot anymore. They did remake the drink after I said that, but nothing else. It’s just frustrating to spend almost $40 on two coffees and 2 tiny pieces of toast and not even receive an apology after it takes half an hour. It is beautiful restaurant, but needs work in...
