DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Food is not freshly made. We walked by this place on the way to another and thought we'd give it a try. On entering, we waited at the host stand for a really long time. That should have been a sign to leave. Finally several minutes later, a gentleman (whom we later find out is the manager) walked up. Took us to an interior space that was really large with lots of TVs and many tables. Obviously it was part of the theater and it was beautifully renovated. First impressions were great. Server was welcoming. We decided to order the calamari appetizer, the prime rib sandwich, and the Hawaiian braised ribs. When the plate of calamari arrived, it looked huge. Upon eating, we realized we couldn't really find much calamari. Rummaging through the plate, we realized it was a plate full of fried stuff -- yes -- stuff. The server walked by for a check and he asked how it was. We replied -- interesting. He asked interesting good? We shared that it was filled with many different things. He explained it was microplaned zucchini and jalapenos (and what looks like fried wonton strips and any other unknown veggies -- aka unknown not-so-sure-what). For $18, we got 8 pieces of calamari and a whole bunch of fried unwanted stuff we didn't expect. Maybe that needs to be stated on the menu. Not only is it frustrating that there was only 8 strips of calamari, I wasn't really anticipating a scavenger hunt going through each fried piece to determine what is while looking for calamari. After eating the appetizer, leaving behind a heap of unwanted fried stuff, we waited an eternity for our entrees. The server even acknowledged the delay by letting us know he was going to check on our entrees. Another 10 minutes later, our entrees arrive. The Hawaiian braised ribs was the most unappetizing dish I've ever encountered. The prime rib sandwich looked promising -- good piece of bread albeit couldn't really much of the filling. Upon the first taste of the rib, it was clear that these ribs were not freshly cooked. It was clearly bought frozen and already cooked and just painted with a sauce. The meat was tasteless and not even warm. The sauce was watery with a single note of sweet. The green beans did not taste wasabi-seasoned. The mash potatoes (that I switched for fries) was bland and tasteless and not freshly mashed potatoes. I could barely eat one rib. When the server came by, he asked how it was and I said okay. To be fair, he did try to find out what I meant by okay. It is not my practice to return food or have food recooked and so I didn't make a big deal about it. I shared a bite of rib with my husband and he too felt it tasted bad. He then showed me the inside of his sandwich and shared that the sandwich filling tasted old and dry. When I looked at it, it is clear that the prime rib is not sliced from a freshly cooked prime rib and tasters and smelled like it is probably bought frozen and warmed up. The sandwich is $22 and the braised ribs is $26. If I warmed up frozen food from my favorite grocer, it would taste a lot better than these 2 entrees. We finally found our server and I decided he needed to know that the food was bad. My entree was basically untouched except for one rib. That should have been an indication that the entree was bad. My husband's sandwich was also not finished and the soggy fries were left untouched. The server notified the manger. Not only did he not apologize for our experience, he was arrogant. He did take off the charge for the ribs. Upon leaving, I looked up the reviews and noticed some photos of the same dishes we had. They do not look the same at all. So either they lost their chef or their chef is off and someone not as qualified made the food today. The calamari dish was a disheveled mess of fried stuff, the braised ribs never touched the grill or a pan and the sandwich is frozen meat that was pan-fried -- dry, tasteless and old. This "restaurant" has no business charging the prices they do just for reheating food -- worse food that the worst cafeteria. Don't...

Recently tried this new tavern in downtown Canton. From the outside, it looks like a place you’d stop into if you wanted to chug a couple beers.
But inside? Shockingly nice. Like, did I just walk into a Pinterest board? Clean, stylish, and genuinely well put together. I thought I was about to discover a hidden gem.
Spoiler: I did not.
We were feeling optimistic. The menu looked solid, classic pub stuff with a few fancy touches. Mom ordered fish & chips. I went with the fish piccata because I enjoy pretending I have standards.
The food came out fast. Impressive. But so do car wrecks.
Let’s start with mom’s fries: hard, burnt, and sad. Like someone deep-fried them, forgot about them for a week, then decided eh, close enough. Her fish was fine. Not “write home about” fine, more like “eh, it’s cooked” fine. We asked for new fries. We got them. They were… fries.
Now my plate. The fish was fried into oblivion. You could tap it against the table and hear an echo. The pasta? A dish allegedly called “piccata” but somehow lacking lemon, capers, or anything remotely piccata-ish. It was drowning in a creamy sauce like Alfredo’s prison cousin. I took a few bites, then decided hunger wasn’t that bad.
But wait!! ambiance! We were seated next to the kitchen. Not a problem until the entire staff decided to hold a TED Talk right next to our table. It was like dining in the middle of an employee break room. Loud, constant, and so personal I almost chimed in. My mom and I couldn’t hear each other without shouting..
To be fair, our server was great, quiet, respectful, not part of the kitchen gossip circle. He deserves a raise. Or at least noise-canceling headphones.
Final damage: Two meals, a shared dessert, a couple glasses of wine, and $100+ later we left hungry, disappointed and annoyed.
If you’re craving fish, fries, or a fun night out… go literally anywhere else. Going Coastal, Pops, Local on North they all remember that seasoning exists and talking tableside doesn’t mean over the guests.
Final verdict: Beautiful space. Awful food. Loud staff. Would I go back? Only if they start selling earplugs and offer fish that isn’t emotionally and...
Read moreAlthough I’m not a sports bar person and never go to restaurants without reading menus in advance (they opened before having a website or social media presence), I’m glad I checked it out and will definitely be back because I have to try their fish and chips and carpaccio!
The atmosphere: not too loud for a sports bar, which was nice. Waaaay bigger than you’d expect inside. The big screen is HUGE, and I’m secretly hoping for occasional romantic movie dinners or chick flick mimosa brunches with that big, beautiful screen. There were a lot of different places to sit, two bars, private booths, large group seating, etc. Rhys was our server and made good recommendations.
The drinks: we got the Greenfield (skinny margarita), Raspberry Lime Gin and Tonic, Three Roses Bourbon Aperol, and Siesta. The siesta was my favorite, but I was surprised at how well the bourbon/aperol drink really worked.
The food: started with calamari with pickled fried jalapeños, fried shaved vegetables, marinara and garlic aioli. Very generous portion and well-priced. We were pretty full after splitting it between two people, but ambitiously ordered more food.
My husband got the flat iron steak with horseradish mashed potatoes and truffle butter. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium-rare, as requested. The horseradish mashed potatoes were soooo good! I said “I like the sauce” when I tried his, but I don’t think there was a sauce; just a tasty combo of truffle butter, steak juice, and horseradish mash!
I got the chicken-fried chicken with mushroom gravy, and it was very tasty though I liked my husband’s horseradish potatoes better than my plain ones and was jealous and stole too many of his.
My favorite bar food is Buffalo shrimp, but I didn’t order it because I thought it was weird that the appetizer was $18 while the fried shrimp entree with more shrimp, fries and slaw was only $19. So I figured it was either overpriced or a ton of shrimp, and I wanted to save some room. But I might try it…after I try the carpaccio, fish and chips, oysters Rockefeller, and burger…omg, so many things I...
