Let's start with the positive. We were seated immediately, and our server was friendly, if not a bit shy. We order the pimento cheese fritters as an appetizer, and found them tasty if not slightly under seasoned.
Then came the problems. We waited quite awhile for our entrees but were patient since it was a Saturday night and likely just very busy. When the meals came, all three of us in our party were unhappy. The burgers are small. Small enough that they should warn you before charging you $11-13 for one. Our table ordered two different burgers and fish tacos. The burgers were dry, as was the bread. Even though the two burgers had different flavor profiles and were made with different meats, we honestly couldn't tell them apart because they were so small and lacking in flavor. The fish tacos were supposed to be grilled and came out fried. The only seasoning to this fried batter was salt, salt, and more salt. The fish itself was slimy and unappetizing. Far too long after we'd been served, our server came to check on us. We asked for ketchup and received an empty bottle. Every ketchup bottle should have been filled for Saturday dinner service, and this was the point that was just irritating. The sweet potato fries were soggy, and the only thing any of us liked between the three entrees were the regular fries, which were abundant.
It took awhile to get the check, and when we did, another party member went to the main counter to pay so that we wouldn't have to wait longer. They didn't bring the card back to her but instead back to the table. She waited there until we went to get her since no one told her otherwise. A truly miserable experience. Everything may be "farm to table," but one would hope there would be a chef somewhere in between there cooking food properly and using seasoning. Next time, I'll stick with Stockyard...

We went with a group of 5 to brunch on a Sunday morning. It seemed crowded but there was no wait. Like many service industry places, it was understaffed so that was taken into consideration before leaving a poor review.
We were greeted in about ten minutes with water and placed appetizer orders along with mimosas. It took another 15 minutes to get the drinks and the appetizers came out 5 or so minutes after that. We ordered our entrees when the mimosas came out. It took 70 minutes for our 4 dishes to come out. Our server came to us about 20 minutes after we ordered to say that we should be up next. A manager came to us at 55 minutes and said we were next to be plated. 4 more tables went out before our server came back to us to say, "Wow you guys win the award for longest ticket time!".
After a total of 70 minutes had passed since we ordered our food it was brought out. Three of us ordered chicken and waffles; I ordered the "Southern Breakfast". My eggs and toast were cool but the grits were warm. Everyone else's food was ok. I tried my fiance's chicken and it was very dry and bland.
The manager did come by and said, "I'm guessing the food was worth the wait, right?" I just shook my head as I didn't want to upset that situation more.
Overall I would never go back. I would have preferred the server and manager to have been honest about the time or our place in line. The quality of the food was not worth the price and there didn't appear to be any pride in it's preparation. There are so many other options that will provide a much better experience (including next door) that I would suggest this...
Read moreMy wife and I walked up to the host stand around 6:30 on Saturday night. We waited there for about 10 minutes until some staff members finally approached us to put our name on the wait list. They said it would be 15 minutes.
15 minutes later, we were told our table was ready and we were sat. This was around 6:50pm. We sat there for 40 minutes. Never was acknowledged by any staff member or manager (who had spoken with us at the host stand). I watched tables get cleared and other tables finish eating and leave, and servers continued to ignore our table. No water, no “please give us a few minutes and we’ll be with you,” no orders taken, nothing.
Finally around 7:30, the same manager from before asked us if anyone had spoken to us yet and we said no. Instead of apologizing, he gave me every reason under the sun as to why they were too busy with other tables to help us. If that’s the case, then why seat us? I also was surrounded by about 3 empty tables and an empty bar, so they weren’t near full capacity.
He then left and never came back. Finally, around 7:40 we decided to just walk away without service. I wouldn’t have waited so long if I knew it would be that bad, I was trying to catch a movie next door at 8pm.
On our way out the door, we told others who were waiting at the host stand that it’s not worth it and what had just happened to us. A server heard this remark and thought it was funny to hear us say that the wait wasn’t worth the service.
I’m unsure how a business that operates at this level can stay in business...
