The food and wait staff actually deserve 5 stars. The poorly motivated, supervised, and trained host up front deserves 2 stars. He was not friendly, it wasn't busy and we waited too long to be seated. He went to the wrong section at first so we had to turn around then only gave us ONE menu. It doesn't take a genius to figure out two people need two menus. I honestly think the kid was being lazy because he had to wipe the menus down after each use. The complimentary salsa was tasteless red sauce however the chips were fresh and delicious. We ordered a side of guacamole and it was also very good and freshly made. I ordered the enchilada platter which was fantastic and I ate every bite. The portion was perfect for the price and very flavorful. My daughter ordered chicken fajitas and it was also superb. The chicken had been expertly seasoned and browned on the flat top before putting in the homemade tortilla. My daughter absolutely loved it. The texture and flavor was perfect. The food was also very fast out of the kitchen and our server was very attentive. Had it not been for the kid up front, this would have been a dive star perfect review. We will definitely be back no...
Read moreThis is an update to my previous reviews. I have been a customer here ever since they opened. I have always left favorable reviews concerning the food and service, and I always enjoyed going there. Tonight, the food and service was good as always until the bill came. They have a new point of sale computer system, and it's flawed. The system applies a general pre programed merchant fee on each item purchased and then taxes that total dollar amount. This is a manipulation for profit. Considering that business can take merchant fees as an expense and benefit them on taxes. Merchant fees are supposed to be applied after the transaction is processed via credit card, and most businesses eat the cost of the merchant fee. My whole beef is that they are having us pay the merchant fee for them and taxing it on top of it. It's just not right They do take off the merchant fee if you pay cash, but who carries cash anymore. Thanks for...
Read moreMi Jalapeno is easily the best Mexican restaurant in town, if not be restaurant in town period. The food is absolutely delicious, and out of the AT LEAST 250 I have eaten here, I have never once had food I did not enjoy. The staff is also great, knowing everyone by name, they are extremely friendly, and never leave you waiting for your drink to be filled, or order. The complimentary chips and salsa are always delicious, and they offer a MASSIVE menu where you are sure to find something to peak your interest. Virtually everything on the menu is priced very reasonably, for example you can get the Super Burrito, a giant 12 inch burrito for only $9, or you could try the chipotle enchiladas, including 3 enchiladas, 1 beef, 1 chicken, and 1 steak, with a side of rice, pico de gio and their chipotle sauce, for $10. Highly recommend, best Mexican restaurant I have visited in my...
